In the grim dark future of humanity, mankind only knows war. The time before the Dark Age of Technology is not something ordinary citizens would ever concerned, not even some member of the Holy Inquisition care. However, believe it or not, it was the events behind the known history that defined what humanity's development. 

 

If anyone insisted that they must find the answer behind such mystery, just remember, the same event could have different point of views that beg the interested parties to reconsider the true nature of the consequences.

"Lord Rakszan, I must inform you that a shard of Mag'ladroth is heading to your Dynasty's crownworld. Whatever it is planning to do towards your Dynasty's land is unknown to us, but you must not-"

 

The holo-feed was abruptly halted. Rakszan never bothered to listen the rest of the words the cryptek was about to say, he could not waste more time to chat with unfamiliar faces, and he would rather deal with the imprisonment of that shard of abomination instead.

 

Without the nobility and the rest of his kin, the former Phaeron of Khansu Dynasty must accomplished the mission alone. Making a plea for help to the other dynasties was out of options, he knew too well that those apathetic beings never lifting their fingers to assist the effort. 'Preserve the power of the dynasty, as usual.'

 

At least, he still had a night scythe to take a flight intercepting that abomination. With that in mind, Rakszan took off and headed towards his target, away from the barren red planet beneath the atmosphere.

 

Nothing could harm the prideful crownworld of Hamun.

In the vision, the horror caused by the metal eldritch abomination was too much for the humanity to bear in their primitive stage.

Descending upon the settlement, the monster destroyed every obstacles laying between its prey and its own body mass. Raising in its full might, the beast devoured every living beings' essence for its insatiable hunger. Without intervention, the cradle of humanity would become nothing but a barren world.

 

He could not sit idly by while mankind would be in the blink of extinction.

 

"Hey George, are you home now? Imperator Diocletian wished to meet you in the palace, and he said the matter could only be solved with your presents."

 

"As his wish, my dear messager. Lead the way."

 

As 'George' entered the palace, Emperor Diocletian greeted him with warmness expression.

 

"My dear George, how is your day recently? I hope I haven't disturb your early retirement."

 

"Not at all, your Greatness. How are you doing with all the works present?"

 

"Workload? I guess you will not believe it, but I will abdicate soon."

 

Inwardly, 'George' was not surprised by his superior's decision of abdication. Still, he replied with mildly amused tone.

 

"While your attempt of making jest was beyond my sense of humour, I do believe you have some mission for me to accomplish, isn't it?"

 

"No it is't. And those rumours of a mythical beast ravaging villages and exterminating living beings were not without bases of truth."

 

Both of them grimaced, knowing that it need to be dealt with in discreetness. If words eventually came out that the Empire failed to protect her citizens from one single beast, the effect would be devastating.

 

"I will investigate the matter personally and secretly, and hope that the journey would not be my last one, your Greatness." 

 

"Good luck with that, may Jupiter give you strength."
