Good evening everyone, I used to be an active member on here many years ago but slowly moved on to other things. I chose a muted Grey/Blue instead of the usual bright blue as I'm not a big fan of it and neither was my customer. There are varying levels of 'bloodiness' throughout the army depending on what the unit is. The Red Butchers for example are absolutely caked in it, whereas the Tactical Squads aren't Anyway I hope you like them, I may post some other work I've done during my time away from the board if response is good. The blue is a base coat of US Grey, then a layer of Blue:U.S Grey, followed by a highlight of Blue:US Grey:Light Grey, finally a last highlight of the previous mix with White added. Hope that helps! The gore was a requirement by my client, I normally wouldn't have done it this extravagant, but now it's all done and finished I quite like it! I've been hiding a lot I'm afraid, I tend to pop up every now again for a couple of weeks then disappear for a couple of years I'll post a painting recipe below for you and everyone else who's asked. Why the mix of War Hound and World Eater Iconography? The only Warhounds symbol is on the Fire Raptor, I just had it spare on the sheet and wanted to use it and the Raptor was the only thing big enough. I feel that there's no reason why some Marines couldn't use the old iconography, especially if it's just to denote a favourite vehicle.
