winterdyne
Been sitting on this one a while, as it was a present so the recipient had to be kept out of the loop.Fairly simple conversions (loincloth, sculpt a hand, scabbard belts, build a spacehulk style base) and a nice tabletop character paint job incorporating several requests from the client (shield colours, lettering, face and hair colour, name).http://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/Holzapfel/templar_wip1.jpghttp://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/Holzapfel/templar_done.jpghttp://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/Holzapfel/templar_done1.jpghttp://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/Holzapfel/templar_done2.jpghttp://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/Holzapfel/templar_done3.jpghttp://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/images/commissions/Holzapfel/templar_done4.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317126-commission-black-templar-single-character/ Share on other sites

winterdyne
Just glaze a mix of the base flesh tone and dark grey. Highlight or soften by working up with the flesh and flesh highlight tones. Firepower
Really quality stuff. Your client's color choice for the shield is a bit odd, but there's no real argument to be made against the quality of the execution. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317126-commission-black-templar-single-character/#findComment-4256609 Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
Good job, overall. However, I have to wonder why he has a purity scroll hanging below his belt, looking like a sanctified loincloth. Has your client written rules in which his opponents must take a Leadership test to resist making sex jokes about the purity scroll's position, effectively paralyzing the opponent's army as the models laugh so hard, they cry (and are unable to see your client's army advance towards its Objectives)? Bjorn Firewalker
I don't think Medieval knights decorate their armor to such ridiculous heights. What was Games Workshop thinking? Scratch that- what was Games Workshop SMOKING? Scratch that- what was Games Workshop SMOKING? Medieval knights didn't have rapid fire grenade launchers or one-handed chainsaws either. I'm fine with the distinction. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317126-commission-black-templar-single-character/#findComment-4257623 Share on other sites
