depthcharge12 and I are about to start our bi weekly bare knuckle brawl to stave off resin withdrawl yer welcome to join us and avoid the sadness and pain of not having something to work on

Right now I'm trying to assuage the pain with beer aged in bourbon casks and a Titan Legio, but that sounds like a cheaper way to have fun!!!

So DA, WS, and BA in Book 6?

Correct. Just the Legion rules, no Primarch/special unit rules.

So like 2 pages for each, 3 tops depending on how much space a second RoW takes up (because the new Legions will arrive with 2, while every other Legion already released will gain one new one bringing them all up to 2).

What other content can we expect? Obviously all the new units that are "bookless" will make an appearance here, but what else? We've got, maybe, 30 pages out of 200 or so covered so far and that includes the introductory stuff, appendices, etc.

Campaign fluff. Campaign missions. Rites of War: 16 Legion ones, several generic ones. Shattered Legion "army list". Expect a different army Organisation Chart. Expect rules that allow taking Legion specific Unit from different Legion in one force. Expect rules that balances this. This brings me to about 100 pages (incl. Artwork maybe 120).

Complete speculation, but the new Corsair list centres around one command FoC and then a bunch of individual FoCs, (each with a minor command, troops, FA, etc). Whilst each individual FoC is a Battle Brother with the Command FoC, it is Allies of Convenience with each other. Is this something that could represent the Shattered Legions, or is it "too 40k" for the Age of Darkness?

My understanding is that it will also have rules for shattered legions and Blackshields.

Ok.

As far as we know this is whats inside (you can always read the open-day thread where all this info came from, you know...its a simple search away).

Legion RULES for BA/WS/DA

2 Rites of war for every legion including BA/WS/DA

3-5 Generic RoWs

Units that have been released outside of a book:

  • Leviathan
  • Contemptor-Cortus (WE HAVE NO INFO ON THIS ONLY THE NAME - Besides that its a CC-Focused Dread.)
  • Mastodon
  • <stuff I'm forgetting>

Army list for Blackshields both Traitor and Loyalist.

Knights Errant:

  • Garro
  • Rubio
  • <create a generic KE system>

And a few other things.

We can safely assume that the 2 Legion Specific RoWs will either be on their own page or share half a page with 2 other RoWs. The generic ones are liable to all be on the same page.

BA/WS/DA Rules section will take up 1 page each, two at most.

Unit profiles for the above will each take 1 page, 2 at most for units like the Mastodon who are likely to have a bunch of special/unique stuff.

There won't be the full Legion fluff sections for the three new Legions in book 6.

Such a shame...

I'm really looking forward to legion/primarch background fluff for these threee legions

Has FW ever done this before? Introduce legion rules without providing fluff?

No, this is the first time.

Mostly so that people can start building towards something with concrete info on what to expect their Legion to play like.

...that and so they stop getting emails from people asking them when they'll get their rules.

Also a few rules for Dark Mechanicus and 4-6 pages on House Malinax. I think I remember hearing there's a Titan Legio introduced in this book, so another 4-6 pages there.

And there are five narrative campaign sections, so could be some pretty heavy fluff and relevant art inserts for the forces involved in each.

Yay hook me up with some Malinax!!!

After reading Garro's rules, it has completely got my by the proverbials, and i cant wait to put Rubio in there too somehow.

And given my tendancy to switch Legion between cups of tea, this at least provides a fun staple.

This book is the MAIN reason i havnt painted anything since coming back into the hobby. Because if i start ultramarines again, and the new RoW is boring as hell, its going to put me off, but if the SoH, IH, Salamanders DA or IF are super cool and awesome then i wont have wasted my heard earned Xmas presents from my Mrs painting them the wrong colours etc.

Do we know anything about the Legion specific RoW?
