At the 2k points level it uses both COH and Alpharius and while i'm aware this is probably a silly idea it should be a blast to play. So here it is folks my ridiculous Alpha Legion list: Any tweaks, refinements and criticisms are most welcome. +++ Alpha Legion COTH (2000pts) +++ ++ Legiones Astartes: Crusade Army List (Age of Darkness) (2000pts) ++ + HQ (130pts) + Legion Centurion (130pts) [Artificer Armour, Plasma Pistol, Refractor Field] Consul [Master of Signal] + Troops (725pts) + Legion Tactical Squad (275pts) [14x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Legion Vexilla, Take an additional Chainsword or Combat Blade] Legion Tactical Sergeant [Artificer Armour, Melta Bombs, Power Dagger, Power Fist] Legion Tactical Squad (225pts) [9x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Legion Vexilla] Legion Rhino Armoured Carrier [Twin-Linked Bolter] Legion Tactical Sergeant [Artificer Armour, Combi-Weapon, Melta Bombs] Legion Tactical Squad (225pts) [9x Legion Tactical Space Marines, Legion Vexilla] Legion Rhino Armoured Carrier [Twin-Linked Bolter] Legion Tactical Sergeant [Artificer Armour, Combi-Weapon, Melta Bombs] + Elites (485pts) + Contemptor-Mortis Dreadnought (180pts) [Two Kheres Pattern Assault Cannons] The Rewards of Treason (305pts) Tyrant Siege Terminator Squad [Chainfist, 4x Tyrant Terminator] Tyrant Siege Master [Combi-weapon] + Heavy Support (245pts) + Legion Heavy Support Squad (245pts) [Lascannons, 4x Legion Space Marines] Legion Sergeant [Artificer Armour] + Legion + Legion Astartes [XX: Alpha Legion] + Lord of War (415pts) + Alpharius (415pts) Master of the Legion [The Coils of the Hydra] Created with BattleScribe (http://www.battlescribe.net) Tactics are thus: the Master of signal will go with the HS squad backfield and blow crap up with his bombardment whilst giving them a BS boost to pop open pesky LRs Spartans etc. Alpharius will use his sneaky beaky deployment and ride with either the temries or the blob tactical squad and get stuck in. The termies are pretty simple they'll trudge slowly up the board and fire an ungodly amount of missles at anything that looks at them funny. the two Metal Box squads will be on rapid response duty and respond to threats (or take objectives) as theyre needed. The blob will infiltrate up the board and pick off small outlying units rapiers etc. The contemptor is also pretty straightforward and will sit midfield and mow anything down with his Kheres. So there you have it. Yeah i know its not a particularly competitive list but the Tyrant termies sound hilarious and i love Alpharius! I probably wont win much but at least i'll have fun losing ;) cheers. Caillum Posted December 19, 2015 Share Posted December 19, 2015 Master of Signal is a 'Support Officer' so he can only be taken as a non-Compulsory HQ. A Forge Lord could a be good option to give Alpharius & the Tactical Blob rad grenades. Caillum Posted December 20, 2015 Share Posted December 20, 2015 That was initially going to be my suggestion, but both he and Alpharius have Scout & Stealth, so you're doubling up on abilities there... Chaplain is an option, but Alpharius is already Fearless and everything is going to have Preferred Enemy, so the Hatred re-rolls are less exciting.
