Removing the frosted look of Purity Seal gone bad ...

Subject line says it all.

 

Just an FYI, and I apologize if this is common knowledge but I had a problem with a number of my models looking frosted after I used some GW Purity Seal on a batch of models I finished. I picked up a bottle of Valejos Matte Varnish, brushed it on over the frosted effect on my models and BINGO! Fixed! Now they look normal again plus they are well sealed ;)

You can also use GW's Lahmian Medium for this task, even if with it is a long and tedious process

With the brush on Matte Varnish from Valejo it took about 2 minutes ;)

Wow. That's great! I'm at the point where I don't buy Purity Seal anymore, but if I'm ever stuck using it…

Hmm, I've got an old landspeeder with frosting issues that I never fixed.  I was informed at the time that hitting it with gloss and then going back to matte would solve the issue.  I may have to try this instead, if I ever get around to fixing the old thing.
