Custom Spawn Base Size Question

1.) My thing is juggernauts. Lots of juggernauts.

2.) Since I use unmounted bloodcrusher juggernauts as chaos spawn, and they don't fit on 40mm bases, which base size do you think I should use between the following two options:

a.) 50mm bases

b.) Bike/cavalry bases

I originally did use them on 40mm bases, but because the models physically stick out past the bases, actually moving into base to base contact is frustrating at best (because I have to turn them backwards), or impossible at worst (have them "count" as base to base, but that means I could just get hammer of wrath hits with every model and I'm not trying to cheese anyone like that).

So, taking my needs and fairness to my opponents into consideration, which do you think is more appropriate, and why?

If the 40mm base is too small, go up in size. Either 50mm or 60mm. Going up in base size is usually more detrimental than it is advantageous, and a larger base is often okay, but going to a smaller base is almost never okay. For this reason, you should not use the bike base to represent a 40mm unit, especially since a pill base is completely different than a round base, and the base size (and shape) is one of the most important parts of identifying/representing units.

Cool, thank you. I think that they would look cooler on 50mm bases as well, for what it's worth. I can make the bases more interesting with more room to glue rocks and other details.
