Calas Typhon
No whip, No bowl cut on the plus side bit of a dodgy face and delicate wings by the looks of it on the negative. Decent model, but I would not pay more than 60-65 at a stretch. Jarl Kjaran Coldheart
frankly, I'm completely disappointed for a few reasons: -the spaghetti hair -the water pistol -the flimsy wings -the tribal tats -the meh jump pack the model isnt bad, for a run of the mill character. For a Primarch, with a Primarch's $$$, I may just skip it. ThatOneMarshal
Fulgrim called, he wants his his hair back. Can't say I'm a big fan of the model. MorgothNL
This topic is about Corax, stop attacking Fulgrim . Fulgrim perfected the crazy hair look, Corax's hair is just... crazy. Slips
I mean, he IS landing from on-high, look at the impact crater around/beneath his foot. His hair being windswept actually makes sense. Unless y'all would have preferred his hair defy the laws of physics? MorgothNL
I mean, he IS landing from on-high, look at the impact crater around/beneath his foot. His hair being windswept actually makes sense. Unless y'all would have preferred his hair defy the laws of physics? Yes, kidding aside his pose does look like it makes sense. We need to see it painted and more up close to really judge. Edit: on another glance, when we talk about the way the hair makes sense gravity wise, the model does lack the accompanied dynamic of his wings + jump pack also indicating a flight from said direction. If he used the wings + pack to swoop into this position, or to break his fall, wouldn't they be positioned differently ? I'm really missing the sense of movement, only his hair suggests that he moved/is moving (and the crater, but that's too subtle) That aside, I do also worry about how the model will look when not on his scenic base. He's looking down, which means it'll look weird if there isn't actually a model there to look at. Besides, if he is quite high on his own base, he does become quite the target reaching over many terrain. (making him a possible target for sniping him with lascannons etc, if the rest of the unit isn't visible). Though with his rules, I'd probably lone-wolf him anyways. Slips
Yeah, he's better off lone wolfing it. If you're smart with placement and movement, all they'd get against him are Snap Shots anyways and if they somehow Tar Pit him? Ninja Vanish outta there like a boss. Even without his scenic base he will be quite tall but, once locked in combat it shouldnt be an issue since he should tower over any non-Primarch, non-Knight or larger models. Still, seeing him painted will help as will a full 360* view. I get the Feeling that his Jump Pack is going to be an Uber Version of the Mk IV with the two turbines we currently see being the directional Nozzles akin to those on the Mk IVs. If you look closely, the Raven Skull seems to have an Intake Grill inside the Eye Socket so if its mirrored on the otherside, means that its a pretty sneaky way of hiding the main intake for the Jump Pack. ...at least I hope thats how this plays out. Corswain
Don't agree with the criticisms, I think it's a brilliant model and will definitely be picking one up.....eventually. MorgothNL
Ok, so maybe I have to rethink my comments about the Corax model now that I see it painted, and I think I like the Dark Furies too :$ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317409-christmas-jigsaw/page/3/#findComment-4271522 Share on other sites
