*Furyou Miko
More specifically, American tournament players at the moment - although as it grows, other regional departments may form... Some friends of mine are putting together a group of Sororitas fans, with the intention of getting group T-shirts and the like, and marching to war in the American tournament scene to show everyone that the Sisters of Battle are a force to be reckoned with. The group are organising and chatting on Facebook as part of the group "Rep the Sororitas". Aqui
The idea of group t-shirts is appealing Pity I'm neither a tournament player or an American Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317553-tourney-players/#findComment-4261684 Share on other sites
Sororita Katya
I got asked to join that the other day, but it's only for Americans at the moment, as on aussie I don't really want to be invited to things I'd have to fly to...unless someone can sponsor me!? That'd get me going on my models at least haha Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317553-tourney-players/#findComment-4264704 Share on other sites
Anjetto
I'm Irish but I do live in America. I asked to join, we could kick starter it, or print on demand Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317553-tourney-players/#findComment-4264942 Share on other sites
Sume
I think this is a great idea. I have to see what the 40k tournament scene is around the Pacific North West. Since I did primary play fantasy tell Age of Sigmar and then just been kinda in limbo. I had a 40k tyranid player ask me last week why did I pick Sisters of Battle, you should had known they where not a stand alone force or taken seriously. Then I showed him the 2nd ed codex and Witchhunters, and I was they where supposed to be more then current GW ideas. *Furyou Miko
Well, the second edition codex was explicitly designed as an allied force that 'could' be used independently. That's why it was the shape it was in terms of units... That said, a tyranid player said that? Don't they know their only purpose is to throw swarms of mooks at Marines and Guard to die in droves, then drop a couple of big monsters in for a climactic boss battle afterwards? He probably realised just how many heavy flamers we can carry and got panicky! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317553-tourney-players/#findComment-4270868 Share on other sites
Sume
Oh he has been on the receiving end of me trying out a retributor squad with the 4 heavy flamers, superior with a combi flamer for kicks, then 5 in a command squad. That was last year though. With the recent releases of harlequins, cult mechanics, skitari I think he got the impression sisters where meant to just be a allied tiny faction like those. Ironheaded
Some of this T-shirt idea can be done on the cheap. One can buy "iron on sheets" for ink jet printers, and inexpensive t-shirts, and start making own items. Lil bit of Photoshop, and alot of ink.
