Hello everyone! Just got the betrayal at calth box for christmas and have decided with some help to do Emperor's Children who are one of my favorite legions, here is my pilot model where I tested out the colors and what not on, I have to say it is one of the best models I have painted thus far. The rest of the squad should be primed tomorrow as it is already assembled (did the model for the Boxer Day Bash here) And will hopefully updating here soon with new pictures. I am a big fan of slaanesh (even though i know emperor's children are not yet affiliated with them) and plan on potentially featuring daemonettes on later models as well as steeds. I would also like to include Kakophoni, Palatine Blade, Phoenix Terminators and Some form of Jump Pack unit (the despoiler jump pack guys look sweet). Any list building suggestions would be great, I also do not know which book is needed to play them so that would be helpful too!

Don't shoot that boltgun- there's no barrel hole blink.png! Better get that drilled before the Tenth Legion comes a'knocking. Speaking of that weapon, is it two-toned or just straight steel?

Looking good so far!

I have gold casing on it, leadbelcher for the rest of it, all highlighted with a steel color, makes it look quite nice in my opinion.the gold on the knee pads and shoulder pads is is highlighted in the same way.

About to play the first mission of BaC, very excited to try it out as Emperor's Children go against Blood angels. Afterwards I should get around to painting the sergeant with hair :D. quick question though, do Emperor's Children Tactical Sergeants have white shoulder pads?

Looking good so far, bro!! :)

Sergeants don't necessarily have white shoulder pads. The white armour panels are described in Betrayal: "White enamel inlay used to denote rank and heraldry was an older Legion tradition dating back to before its unification with the Primarch Fulgrim." So by the time of the betrayal the white panels would probably be very rare amongst the III Legion, and probably even more so amongst the Traitors. Having said that, white looks great with purple and gold and really helps to break it up a bit. If you're painting Emperor's Children Traitors you could probably use whatever colour you wanted. I don't think they were too worried about uniform discipline (or discipline in general) after the fall.

Looking forward to seeing some more from you :tu:

Finished product, will try to take better pictures when it is actually bright outside...... On of my favorite models, a big fan of the hair.

From what I can see the colours are nice - I like the Dark purple!

The pics are just too blurry though D:

Get some better ones!

The Dark Mechanicum was able to get better pic capts.

Its hard to tell, but as I said before that is a Green metallic helmet in the back, representing the iron tenth, and the III was some of my first free-handing albeit not very good. Definitely have some clean up to do on this model with the better light now.
