The new Ragnar book is a fantastic  one

It works much like the first 6 ragnar books by King and Lighter as a means to show you Ragnar's growth and development but in  a much more noticeable and potent manner because of the subject matter of the novel itself.

The book is an incredibly fun read and I  highly recommend it.

If you are a space wolves fan ,  Read. This. Book.

Loved ADB tale. Made me like the Flesh Tearers as well. It continues to amaze me how well he infuses reality into the characters. They easily come to life in my mind.

If I havent said it yet, Im diving in right after I finish Pharos

I was reading Pharos then Ragnar put a serious halt on that endeavor.

I feared that if I put Pharos down I wouldnt pick it back up.

as much as I love 30k. the recent slew up novels, novellas and other cashgrabs have been especially poor of late.

New Garro Novella

Hm, will it fix the scars inflicted by Prospero Burns?

I dont think it was possible to recover from the excessive amounts of awesome given by Prospero Burns?

I have to admit that I have read very little SW literature, but Prospero Burns gave me the (good kind) chills pretty much the entire read through.

This book is on my radar, as I have heard nothing but brilliant comments about A D-B and his writing.

End of Line

I quite liked it. I think ADB was pretty even handed with all the characters, and even the Dark Angels come across in a good light. The interplay between Blackmane and Razortongue was good, in that Razortongue strove pretty damn hard to keep the Wolves honest in spite of their own bluster, and Blackmane eventually rose to the challenge.

And everyone involved had to do that - Sorael, Vorain and Blackmane all undertook some conflict and grew in meaningful ways. Good read all around.

I just finished the book.

It was hard to put down, and I skipped sleep in order to charge ahead. I found myself questioning the righteousness of these Wolves more than the Wolves of the Great Crusade or the 32M. I think its because this era of the Wolves had been established longer.

I found the Dark Angel and Wolf interactions very fun and interesting.

The changes to Honor's End...put me off a bit. Kinda irrational probably, but I enjoyed the earlier cut and dry reasons from the codex.

Overall, an interesting and challenging look into the Wolves of the 41stM. Not enough to greatly change any of my views of the Wolves or the setting.

I'm looking forward to this book in the future. It will be my first AD-B read and I'm psyched for all the good word of mouth he gets and the grwat reviews this book has been getting.

About Wolf's Honor...

I don't wish to derail this thread in any way, shape or form so could someone please PM me about what changes were made? I own the omnibus but if there's an alternate version, I'd like to pick it up if its worth it.
