Ive been out of the hobby for a few years, life, work, the trials and tribulations of adult life. But at the urging of my wife, and the advent of the betrayal at calth set. I've jumped headfirst into the Heresy pool. The Night Lords have always been my favorite legion, going back as far as 3rd and 4th editions, and only grew once my personal lord and savior ADB penned the last few night lords novels. Honestly I would have done a larger army project like this sooner were it not for the pesky lightning bolts >.< Weaponized fear is so much of a contrast to me than what we generally see in 40k, at least as far as recent bolter jerks go. Comments and critique will of course be welcome. Swapped out the generic MKIV head to give him a kittle personality in the army. His lightning bolts need work, some are a bit too thick, and others just blend straight into the blue of the armor. It was nerve wracking at first, but for my first forgeworld order since High School it was a joy to work with. Arms and magnets are forthcoming, going to keep the options open between an assault cannon w/ claws or a pair of claws with plasma blasters. Some fine gauge brass chain is on its way, along with some various other bits and gubbins to really make the silhouette pop. Thats all ive got for today, the marines are all in a pile on my desk in a moment, so we'll flay that bridge when we cross it. Barclift4 Posted January 8, 2016 Author Share Posted January 8, 2016 Small updates since the last run. got the contemptor arms in today, few claws and a kheres assault cannon. finished up the terminator centurion from the calth set, decided to take a risk and clip off the chainfist and replaced it with a lightning claw. Got a shot of a death guard daemon prince for an upcoming chaos project using a warmachine model, I know it wont technically be tournament legal, but it was a fun test of NMM, a knight to march the fields of Istvaan with the Nostramans. Even in perfect shape, basing as casualties is the only use for that kit in my opinion.
