Vaghash Dei Neru translates in to The Burning hand of the Wargod.

 

 

 

Long time since I've  been gaming or worked on figures, been super busy with other hobbies (Paintball and joining the 501st Legion). So early last year I was planning on building a Imperial Fist force based around Pollux (40k Crimson Fist player...of Course). I purchased everything and just got busy. Then I sold all the stuff but the big red books to fund  my costume for the 501st legion. With the recent release of B@C and talking to friends I began debating again. I major issue was the purchasing B@C was that my IF force was supposed to be breachers and MKII heavy....so B@C was not the right purchase. I started thinking about the other Legions. Emperor's Children  terminators did not fit since the EC's prefer the Tartos pattern. Sons of Horus, did not want to paint that scheme and i would have gone all terminators....After much debating I went with the Word Bearers as did anther friend. I want the Dark Brethren ROW so I plan on using Erebus and Kor Phaeron and deamons. My Buddy is going the possesed route.

 

So far my purchases are:

 

2 B@C boxes

1 FW Word Bearers Upgrade set 

5 FW Word Bearers Shoulder pad Set

1 FW Cataphract Special Weapon set (AUTOCANNON...)

Erebus and Kor Phaeron

3 tarantulas with heavy bolters (had these for another army but still havent used so why not...)

3 tarantulas with lascannons (same as the HB)

Lorgar

4x FW MKIV Command upgrades

Siciaran venator

Daemons (battle force daemon prince and hearlds (Nurgle & Khorne)

 

3 sets of these shoulder pads:

Flaming Fist Shoulder pads along with the matching icons he sells. 

 

So far I plan on building the figures like this 

 

1 of the B@C Chaplain eventually changes to a diabolus

2 keres Contemptors

2 5 man terminators (one will have 1 lc. 1 cf, 2 pf and heavy flamer the other will be 1 lc. 1 cf, 2 pf, reaper, sgt with a combi melta power axe)

3 15 man tactical squads 

2 5 man support squads (4 melta in one and 4 plasma in the other)

1 5 man seekers (they are getting the the torsos and heads from FW and 2- 4 combi meltas)

 

My other Sergeants will just get the Torso upgrades

 

The plan is to paint them in the metallic red scheme (cause it is so sexy).

 

 

So a few weeks back I started on my bases as it has been too cold and damp here to prime or paint.. 

 

I covered all the bases from the 2 B@C boxes i purchased with Vallejo Fine White Pumice.

So I posted this as my gaming New years Resolution for 2016 in a another forum:

 

my goal is simple.....

 

1- build 2 B@C boxes, Erebus, Kor Phaeron, Lorgar, and Sicaran venrator

2- convert 3 of the 4 HQs from the B@C box set

3- paint all of it

4- base (45 bases need paint, 31 bases waiting on models to finish the final touches)

5- Build daemon allies

6- Paint daemon allies

7- Bases to match Word Bearers

 

 

Possibly additions:

Deredero, Bloodthirster, predators squadrons x2, sicarans x2 and a 3rd B@c set (terminator command squad, 9 man veterans, adding more members to seekers and 2 support teams, and 3rd contemptor)......but those are all maybes

Bases painted with 2 coats of Stirland mud than washed down with a layer of stirland mud with lots of water.....it was almost an empty pot but enough left to make it a wash

This puts Resolution #4 closer to being completed as i worked on another 5 bases since the photo was taken last night leaving only 25 more needing paint.
