depthcharge12
Hey so I found this little gem while trolling through the Internet: http://natfka.blogspot.com/2014/09/whats-on-your-table-centuar-imperial.html?m=1 Now I remember it from the earlier games that included different knight classes, and I can't remember if it was previously a Stallion class or whatnot. However, with this knowledge, I'd endeavor to make one for my House Malinax Knights. Seems like a machine they'd be crazy enough to experiment with. So what rules should I look at to make this thing balanced, yet fun too? Here's just a rough 1.0 version: Centaur knight 465 points Super heavy walker WS:4 BS:4 I:4 A:4 S:10 AV: 13/12/12 HP:6 Wargear: • Plasma Eviscerator • Centaur Lance • Ion Shield Special Rules: • Regular knight rules (Invincible behemoth, etc.) • Trample • Inertia charge Plasma Eviscerator A highly potent weapon downsized from the Titan grade plasma weaponry. However, the weapon has reduced dampeners and coolant systems, and has the added risk damaging itself. Range 48" Two fire modes: Dispersed - S7 AP2 Heavy 3, small blast Overcharge - S9 AP2 Heavy 1, large blast, Gets Hot! Centaur Lance Similiar to the Cerastus Lancer weaponry, but lacking the sophisticated plasma inducer, this weapon is in essence, a bastardized version. Range - S:D AP:2 Melee, +1 I on the turn a model with this weapon charges Inertia Charge When a Centaur knight charges a unit, it inflicts D3+1 S10 AP- Hammer of Wrath hits on that unit. The Centaur Knight also may reroll 1's on a failed assault move. Trample Instead of declaring a charge in the Assault phase, the Centaur may roll 3d6 and move that many inches in a straight line. It does not need to aim at a particular target, but must move across at least one enemy unit. This unit cannot be a vehicle or flyer, but the Centaur can damage infantry, bikes, and monstrous creatures in this manner. The Centaur goes through over these units in a similiar manner to a skimmer, but stops when it reaches a piece of terrain, a fortification, or a board edge. Every unit it passes over recieves d3 stomp attacks resolved normally, the first stomp originating from the first modelthe centaur "crossed." Thoughts? Lucien Eilam
Now I remember it from the earlier games that included different knight classes, and I can't remember if it was previously a Stallion class or whatnot. There's never been a quadrupedal Imperial Knight. The Bright Stallion was an Eldar Knight. Griffsnog
Why not put it on a baneblade chassis? That way it can be like the admech mutoid mans but more appropriately sized Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/318205-centaur-class-knight/#findComment-4277424 Share on other sites

Teetengee
Trample seems a little too powerful, due to how strong stomps are. Inertia charge, does that replace its normal HoW? Finally, the plasma weapon seems a little too strong.
