This is the only picture I could find (I know it's super low res) maybe a member who has the Forgeworld Horus Heresy Masterclass could get you a better picture:

There are pictures of them, but no guides - waste of potential really. There are 4 pages of pictures of the SoH and then 2 pages of pictures of the Horus that you can already see on the BL site.

The SoH are from Mat Kane's personal army. Here's a pic I had saved plus one from the old FW blog.

If you like, I could message him for you and ask for the details?

Man, that is a shame, i just decided on SoH as my next legion. I was planning on picking the book up at some point but I would have ordered it tonight if that was in it! If you know the guy I would greatly appreciate any info, thanks!

(Sorry to derail the thread a bit)

I believe Mat Kane posts on the Crusade and Heresy facebook page so you might be able to comment on his work there and maybe ask a question or two.

Edit: Here is a comment he made on painting the cool green he used on his SoH.

The translucent colour is made by layering on thin coats of tamiya clear green over the top of the main colour underneath. So make your jade green far lighter than it normally would be and then use the tamiya clear colour over the top. You will need to matte this down afterwords as its a really glossy finish. Purity seal well shaken(4 mins) and hair dryered off works fine for this the clear green is very strong in colour though so it is wise to heavily thin with tamiya thinners

He posts in all of the HH modelling pages, not just Crusade & Heresy. I'd just send him a message as he's an incredibly friendly and helpful guy, genuine top bloke

To add to the lightning scheme, his base green was originally the PDF one (HH painting guide on the FW website download) but was replaced by Lupercal Green > SoH Green > Coelia Greenshade, all through an airbrush. He'll give more details if you speak to him

I think I might stay conservative then and do the red Justaerin, but it's definitely an interesting color scheme. I just feel they look more evil with red

His green though is superb, but I feel that marbled green looks a bit odd. I do love his work though.
