From the 30k HH Blood Angels Description :

 

Strategic Tendencies :

- High Intensity Warfare

- Strategic Decapitation Strikes

- Planetary Interdiction Campaign

- Multi-vector and Sub-orbital attack

 

Secondary, while Blood Angels are one of the Best CC chapter/legion, they are THE best when making use of Jump Pack. (We are to Sky units what the White Scars are for bikes units).

 

But sadly, game speaking, our So good jumps units are actually outmached by Raven Guard one. While in close combat, our rules does not reflect our competence.

 

Strategic Tendencies : (Rules ideas transposing the 30k style of war to 40k, and express it with adequate rules)

- High Intensity Warfare = > Furious Charge, Fleet, Move Trough Cover, Crusader....etc

- Strategic Decapitation Strikes => 7th Edition Warlord Trait "Descend of Angels" and the Relic "The Angel's Wing" are good for describing this style.

- Planetary Interdiction Campaign => Orbital Blocus (Mostly in 30k), Sky domination with Flyers and Skimmers (30k and 40k)

- Multi-vector and Sub-orbital attack => Ground+Sky assault (So Fast Transport + Skimmers + Jump Pack + Stormraven alike)

 

Finally, and on a more personnal point of view, i would say that even the 30/40k Armoury should reflect the Blood Angels War style. (While the Dark Angels are said to possess a great knowledge of Plasma Weaponry, i think that the Blood Angels should possess Autocannon and Astartes Grenades Launcher as Heavy for the first and Special for the Second. For exemple.)
