So I'm still working on my plastic dudesmen, and I was thinking of building Tybalt Marr from the BL heresy series. I heard it mentioned that he might show up as the leader hunting down the shattered legions, so nows a good time as any.

 

I'm pondering putting him in a mkV/IV suit with the horizontal (transverse?) crest on the mkV helmet since it looks pretty beast. He's a tragic character due to losing his best buddy to Eugene Temba on Davin, and subsequently joining the warrior lodges.

 

Any idea on his weaponry? I'm thinking something like paragon blade, Bolter, plasma pistol? I can't remember if it was mentioned in the books what his wargear was.

There's a picture of him in the Meduson anthology. Google Image isn't turning it up but I can try and dig it out and scan it in the next day or two? Lots of stuff packed in moving boxes so I can't guarantee I'll find it quickly.

 

I was planning on doing a similar model though, and I can tell you based on my memory he looks pretty much exactly like the FW MkIV Command Set guy except bald. I think I also considered using Loken's model to make him so maybe there was an eye of horus on his chest too. Pretty sure he has a power sword/paragon blade.

He is a "Son of Horus" in the literal sense that his gene seed made him look like Horus, so I'd expect that bald look lol

Thanks again son of Horus ;) I might have to nab that idea. Something like the torso of the mkIV command praetor with an Eye of Horus green stuffed on plus a mkV helmet with a transverse crest. The sword would look awesome on him too - though I have a hunch that Tybalt Mar might get rules in the upcoming book...

I think the problem with the gun arm is that it's either too high or too low. 

 

If the aim was to make him look like he is yelling and urging his men onwards while shooting his gun/pointing his gun in the air, the gun should be more vertical.

 

If the aim was to have him shooting at an enemy, or pointing for his men to charge the enemy, then the gun should be leveled at the enemy.

 

As it is, he both looks like he is half heartedly urging his men onwards, or is shooting at a flying monkey.
