Imperial Fists battle of Phall 2500 pt boarding force

I'm playing around with an Imperial Fists void warfare army list based around the battle of phall. I'm trying to stick to my void warfare theme, so I haven't included any tanks.

The plan is to put Alexis Polux in with the tactical squad and apothicary and either start them on the board or in the storm eagle depending on who I'm facing. I'd either deep strike in the tactical support squad, heavy support squad or veteran squad as needed using Polux's abilities and I'd deep strike in the terminators to hopefully alpha strike a vehicle or expensive unit (I know that melta isn't quite as affective because of ceramite). The terminator sergeant would tank AP 2 hits and hopefully help win any assaults or at least take a few guys down with him.

The storm eagle is there to provide a fluffy assault vehicle. I'm a bit iffy on it both due to the price and because I've heard the kit is a royal pain to assemble.

How does the following look?

Primary Detachment [imperial Fists] - Pride of the Legion RoW

Alexis Polux (165 pts)

Legion Tactical Squad (306 pts)

17 marines + Additional Combat Weapons + Legion Vexilla

Legion Sgt + Power Fist + Artificer Armour

Legion Apothecary + Augury Scanner + Artificer Armour

Legion Tactical Support Squad (170 pts)

5 marines + 4 plasma guns

Legion Sgt + bolter and augury Scanner + artificer armor

Legion Terminator Squad (266 pts)

5 marines with Cataphractii armor + 3 combi-meltas+ 1 assault cannon + 4 power fists + teleportation transponder

Sgt + Thunderhammer + Stormshield

Legion Vetran Tactical Squad (300 pts)

10 marines + 2 heavy bolters with suspensor web + Legion Vexilla + Melta Bombs

Sgt + Artificer Armour + Power Fist

Contemptor Dreadnought Talon (410 pts)

2 Legion Contemptor Dreadnoughts + Extra CC weapon + 2 graviton guns

Contemptor-Mortis Dreadnought (180 pts)

Twin-linked Kheres Pattern Assault Cannon x2

Legion Storm Eagle (271 pts)

Armoured Ceramite + Searchlight + Two Twin-linked Lascannons

Legion Heavy Support Squad (370 pts)

8 marines w Lascannons

Sgt + artificer armour + augury scanner

You think about making such a list ZM Based instead? It would serve your purposes and the scenario you're going for better since Phall was pure Ship-To-Ship Combat.

Granted, the preferred limit for ZM is ~1.5k the fact that the scariest vehicle you're likely to face in that game mode is a Dreadnought, you wouldn't be on such a back foot with your own lack of Tanks and such.

Its not so much the lack of tanks but the lack of truly reliable methods to deal with the really nasty tanks that'll get you since you're army is only really power armored bodies and a single flyer.

Not the most resilient of lists when 30k Lists have rather easy access to S10 Ap2 Blasts in the Form of Medusas OR the Typhon and its S10 Ap1 7" Ignores Cover Blast.

Its why I recommend ZM for aggressive Infantry Focused lists since it limits the amount of Tanks your opponent can field that will just NOPE your army since it will possibly be lacking in any form of reliable methods to tackle such a threat.

Nothings actually wrong with your list its just that, with the units you have now and maybe a few additions / points reshuffling, you could have a slightly more optimized list that can tackle if not the majority, most of the problems you're likely to encounter in 30k.

Consider:

Instead of a Storm Eagle, Take 2 Dreadclaw Drop Pods. Give your Tac Vets Melta Bombs, Optional Melta Guns and The Tank Hunter Rule.

Pod them in T1 and on T2 Blow up a nasty expensive tank with 10 Armorbane + Tank Hunter Melta Bombs.

For the Next Pod, Drop the Tac Squad and Replace them with an 8 man Tac Vet Squad with Various Power Weapons and the Furious Charge Special Rule. Slap the Apothecary and Polux to them. Much nastier as a Combat unit for an equivalent amount of points as the Tac Blob.

Drop the Contemptor-Mortis w/ Kheres. His guns are too short ranged to actually be an Anti-Air Threat. 24" aren't going to do much when you can instead take a Deredeo for not that much more points who has 48" Range S8 Autocannons and a 60" Range S6 Missile Launcher.

For the Terminators I'd much prefer Combi-Plasma and a Plasma Blaster vs Melta and Autocannon. You get more quality shots and with 2+ Armor, failing Gets Hot! Tests isn't really scary. While melta is useful for S8 to double out T4, 4 shots isn't going to actually do much. The Assault cannon is cool but doesn't really mesh well with a Drop-Nuke Unit.

The Plasma Gun Squad can then be your Deepstrike Target for Polux's Rule.

In this scenario you'd then want Nuncio-Voxes where possible to help your Deepstrikers no Scatter.

I'd then take your Dreadnought Talon and split them into two Single-Dread Talons and give them Pods.

1pt over but...shouldnt be an issue.

It Keeps 90% of your Original list but, imo, Optimizes it a bit more.

The Contemptors have Chain Fists since those are no longer specialist weapons meaning they're 4 Base Attacks now with 2 Melee Weapons. So after 2 Graviton Blasts they can then chew through armor with S10 Armorbane Attacks. They also have Drop pods bringing your Number of Drop Pod Assault Units up to 4 meaning you can choose two units to come down T1.

Terminators are in Cataphractii for a 4++ to give them that much more resilience on the Drop. They shoot out 8 Plasma Shots when they do too with the Plasma Blaster being able to continue shooting 2 Shots a turn afterwards if he doesnt die.

You're 8 Man Vet Squad thats joined by Polux and Apothecary will be taking Power Axes as their Power Weapons for 4 S6 Ap2 Attacks each on the Charge (Furious Charge) coupled with Polux's Possible S10 at I5 and the Apothecaries S5 Ap3 and the Sarges S9 AP2.

The Tank Hunter Squad is as I've stated above.

The Plasma Squad gets Polux's Deepstrike; I'd possibly not take the Augury Scanner on the Sarge since he'll be dropping in Deep and it gives you 1-2 more plasma shots for the squad.

Deredeo gives you Long Ranged Firepower and with the Missile Launcher can tackle two targets on his own.

Only 6 Lascannons vs your previous lists 9 but it means they're a smaller Target now when you'll have pretty much the rest of the list in your opponents face.
