recon0321
It looks like FW pads Particularly MK IV that the rims on the shoulder pads are thinner than the plastic ones can anyone give me some insight? M@verik115
I think they also made them slightly thinner on the calth marines, but yes the FW MKIV shoulder pads have really thin edges. They look great on the model, but boy are they easy to break when modelling... GrandMagnus
Although it seems like the new MK IV have slightly thicker trims than their past versions. m_r_parker
Interestingly there is some disparity between the various MkIV pads across the range. The first lot of MkIV armour had very thin and discrete edges, and are broadly in line with the plastic offering from the B@C plastic set. However, the Legion upgrade pads that have been released have had their trims become increasingly thick and starting to appear more like MkVII. I've taken a photo of some of the different options. From left to right they go: Word Bearers Legion resin MkIV pad, original resin MkIV pad, new plastic MkIV pad, Imperial Fist Legion resin MkIV pad, new plastic MkVII pad http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t272/m_r_parker/Plogs/Word%20Bearers/CA049CE8-65F7-49B2-92E2-FA5FA06E7753_zpssqil8hzu.jpg I you take a look at the new ForgeWorld Legion MkIV kit they released last week the pad trim is more in line with the later Legion pads and more comparable with the MkVII kit. http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/resources/catalog/product/600x620/99550101510_LegionMk4MaximusArmour02.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/318539-fw-shoulder-pads-vs-gw-pads/#findComment-4284873 Share on other sites
