AfroCampbell Posted January 29, 2016 Share Posted January 29, 2016 Sadly yesterday I found out that my car with everything I own including all of my developing imperial Fists army was stolen from outside my flat! So tragically due to insurance not paying out on my contents of the car, this is my last post to B&C, simply to say thank you to the greatest community a warhammer nerd like me could ever be privileged to be a part of. Due to financial dire circumstances I likely won't be returning for a significant time, however one day I do dream to return and replace those thousands upon thousands of dollars of models lost. Until then, thanks so much to all of you! (I may still lurk just to read about the happenings in the 40k/30k world and see all of your names!) (Sorry mods... I guess you can close this... Mine would cover such a loss, but I'm in the UK so I'm unsure if this applies to you. Yea, indeed I have been in extensive discussion with both my insurance companies (car and contents) however neither will sadly cover it due to the fact the car insurance won't cover the contents of the car, and the house contents won't cover it in the car (epic New Zealand insurance fail!)!! It may be worth checking ay dumpsters that may be on the street close to where you live, or check the local pawn shops. They do that sometimes too for a quick buck. My sincerest condolences. It didn't work for me, but it's still a good idea. Also talk to your FLGS; the thieves might go there to sell the models. I went through a similar situation a while back, and leaving your hobby and community is never the proper way to deal with the grief - I paid for that mistake. Plus, it gives us an opportunity to show how awesome the Age of Darkness boards is really, as we are all part of the ship, part of the crew.
