noigrim
Exactly that, would you rather take a primarch or a typhon? When dealing with harlequins for example they dish out lots of high I S6 ap2 attacks and in the last battle Ferrus almost dies! So in a 1500pts vs harlequins/eldar/tyranids what would be better? Hesh Kadesh
Neither, really. It is a poor Eldar army that cannot deal with a Land Raider, and if Ferrus was so squishy might be worth looking at Horus or Vulkan in an dreadclaw or Mortarion. Or keep it cheap and take Fulgrim who gets a 3++ when duelling and ID's quins. Also, play with another 200pts to make up for the stupid tax that Legiones Astartes have to play with for no reason whatsoever. There is a reason why lords of war are banned under 2k and that the minimum recommended game size is 1750. It is hard to say as well, as those armies when I last played were top tier, like multiple tourny winning top tier. In short, don't, and play SM instead. You'll have 40k tricks like gladius strike force, drop pods that function well (especially now that FW have banned the single trick that made them okay outside of NL/RG) and can still take Typhons. 7th edition allies as well to make you capable. Heresy is a different game that is intented to be internally balanced. Not so much against40k armies. m0nolith
Well...nether. You need a minimum of 2k to be able to take a LoW, and can only be be a maximum of 25% of your points. But, if you're playing a friendly game and they let you bend the rules a little bit... Typhon Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/318671-primarch-or-typhon/#findComment-4288622 Share on other sites
noigrim
Perhaps two storm eagles would be better? harequins and bugs aren't very good at flyier fighting without a winged tyrant Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/318671-primarch-or-typhon/#findComment-4288760 Share on other sites

RandomMarine
If he's using the aod force org he has to follow the 25% low rule. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/318671-primarch-or-typhon/#findComment-4290111 Share on other sites
Ishagu
Depends on the Primarch, but at a lower point game - say 1500, a Typhon would definitely do more work.
