Prot
Just a quick question.... I have a few of the Prints from Black Library now and was considering mounting them on my office wall. Have any of you hung them up yet? If so what are you using? What dimensions? Did you go with a full frame or just a card style display? veterannoob
I have way too many at home as are mounted all over the place. Or I did, it's now in a storage locker while I study abroad. I'll have to look through my emails and hopefully find the framing info. What I did was the cheap ones where all four plastic edge slips slide off and that was mostly ok, but since these are the cover posters BL has on HH tab on old site, there was some blank space do I filled in with white poster board The other type was codex covers which comes as fine nicer prints and those I found a good semi-expensive frames for at Target (not sure what UK version is, if you are not in US) Good luck! Chaeron
Not as much help Prot, I'll be mounting them as they are on their card backing - but haven't yet done this! Nineswords
I use RIBBA IKEA frames - they work a treat. You just need to trim the print to fit, and you don't need a pass partout at all. What dimension of frame did you buy for this? veterannoob
What country are you in? Or, perhaps better, do your frames come in inches? I found a pic of dimensions for the the codex covers or matted WHW prints at 16x12 inches and that's just trimming the mat backing down as needed. Second, the HH cover art sold as posters were 23.5 by 16.5 inches. Not sure what framing options you have as far as stores. Prot
Ah okay. I'm in Canada and usually that stuff comes from the U.S. so is in inches.... I've been to a few generic department stores and haven't found anything near what I need. The piece I'm looking to frame first is from the Honour of Macragge cover art. If it's the same matted print and not a rolled up paper poster then I went to a Michael's which I believe Canada has and went to the cheaper frames bunched together for posters, not the display ones hung on the wall. I took the print with me the second time for and idea of what to add or cut, but the first trip was unexpected so I only had measurements I took and that worked out pretty close. Hope this helps. If you have an Ikea close by likely find luck there. I bought from Target and Michaels. Good luck and let us know if you need any help. Prot
Mine are in black. http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/60101044/#/60101044 So that link shows "A4" frames. I was under the impression these prints were A3 from Black Library? Am I mistaken, or is there some advantage to going A4? Ah okay. Do you recall price per frame? Or the size? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/318774-framing-black-library-prints/#findComment-4293769 Share on other sites

Do you recall price per frame? Or the size? I want to say I paid about $15 US for each but that was with a coupon of a large percentage off a lot of regular price items. Prot
Thanks. I have ordered two frames based on what you've said here. I just went through amazon.ca and will see how it goes when they get here!
