Alittle confused - Mordheim Turf

Dark Rage

Recommended Posts

So I bought some mordheim turf quite a while back when the new technical paints came out (agrellan earth and the other five) and recently bought a second box of the stuff and well the colours seemed different.

I was not sure if there is varieties of shades but I thought I would still use this lot anyway regardless of the shade but then found that this newer batch didn't stick to bases very well and also the grass from each piece wasn't cut very well and had strands longer than the majority.

I attached a pic, the older and what seemed like the better batch is darker and was like that since I got it. Anyway not sure if anyone else has had this issue, not sure I ever saw it pop up before on here and just wanted to know if its something I should query at the store when I next pop in.

I have always used a dot of superglue with these anyway just to help secure them.

If youre not hapoy with them bring it up at the store and see what they can do, but if the colour has changed slightly theyll be little they can do.

Are you sure that one box isn't Mordheim Turf while the other is Middenheim Turf? I made a similar mistake. msn-wink.gif

Never knew of a Middenheim Turf, both were mordheim unless someone switched the lids since I don't actually think these come in any sealing.

I use the newer ones an I'm quite happy - but i use glue to attach it to the base, that said. Also never used the old ones, so I can't tell the difference from that pic :/

Ah yes I do use superglue or a dot of pva to hold it but the larger pieces stick fairly ok without it, my main concern is with the colour change so I think I will just ask in the store but doubt much could be done.

Have you been watering it and letting it get enough light?

hah that could just well be the issue, it could have been because I bought it during different seasons.

They also switched the little slate chip material they give you, the little plastic tubs got replaced with bags, and they went from a much worse resin to a Finecast like material.

I wouldn't be surprised if one of the changes to the current kits is lighter and less sticky tufts.

Mine was like that too, the old version looked like dead grass perfect for desert bases, the new version looks like bright green spring grass.

Returned mine in exchange for a tub of Middenland Tufts instead.

Found that the Middenland Tufts fit decently as a replacement to the old Mordheim Tufts, they're just a smidge greener, and I never thought about the stickiness as I always glued them on with PVA anyway.

Still a crappy move though, I wonder how many people will have the look of their bases affected by this change?
