Reference I am keen for a read of that!) It does a little bit, but it's because mechanically that differentiation is needed for that game. I don't know if I'd read too much into that. Tbh, I disagree, there was no reason they HAD to add the extra armour types - it's why they aren't the core rules. And they do explain the differences between the armour pretty well in my opinion. Giving reasons for why they are different etc. Â RPG's need loot/upgrades etc, which need to be differentiated in crunch. It's pretty much how they work.
