causon13
Greetings! I'm here to illuminate the unbelievers, and with me I bring Word Bearers. I'm obsessed with listening to the audio books and dramas released by Black Library, and when The Purge was released I was instantly drawn in by Sor Talgron and the Bird Wearers... I bought a load of the lovely plastics from eBay and set to work on finding a suitable scheme which didn't look like Blood Angels. Trawling the interweb... I discovered a rather pleasant (and easy) scheme to replicate which resembles the artwork in the books. Here is a taster of one of the guys below - he is very much WIP but gives an idea of the colour. And the main man himself, Sor Talgron, I Please let me know what you think! Flint13
I think Sor looks a little... pristine? Or is this a pre-Purge force? :D Just kidding, they look awesome, especially that purpley wine-red. The Purge was actually the story that tipped me over the edge of playing the XVIIth as well. Flint13
That's exactly the recipe I just did a tutorial for a couple weeks back. Great (evil) minds think alike! What did you use to thin the Ghost tint? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/318910-word-bearers-the-preachings/#findComment-4297027 Share on other sites

What did you use to thin the Ghost tint? Isn't the ghost tint an acrylic paint? BrotherCaptainArkhan
Great conversion of Sor. He'd look better with two bolt holes in his skull and his weapons cast at the feet of XIII Legion banners, but still, pretty good ;) I like the metallic scheme you went with, very interesting choice. What're you planning for basing? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/318910-word-bearers-the-preachings/#findComment-4297149 Share on other sites
