Wraithwing
That's a good video. They seem to be quite large miniatures, which is awesome. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319065-gw-video-painting-wulfen/#findComment-4301821 Share on other sites
lovesmuffins
That's a good video. They seem to be quite large miniatures, which is awesome. Yeah and that kind of makes me think I'll have to scrap my conversion idea to get 10 wulfen from one box. Will have to wait until this weekend once I have the sprues in hand. Wispy
as expected, the legs look better when they're all flesh tone. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319065-gw-video-painting-wulfen/#findComment-4301961 Share on other sites

Pictures of the sprues are on GWs website. Think you get one torso and two legs for every Wulfen. You could use regular marine torsos with a bit of work? Amarog
arent all the arms and legs individual. so only give each model one arm and one leg (wulfen) and then one each of normal. thus doubling your usage. and then just supplement in torso's etc? Grimtooth
Your models will end up looking like the guy at the gym that never does leg day if you use regular Marine legs. Wispy
Your models will end up looking like the guy at the gym that never does leg day if you use regular Marine legs. or an expert in Biomancy. I'm using terminator legs and Wulfen arms for that Rune Priest, actually. Grimtooth
Cool vid, but I have no desire to paint my Wulfen up in SW baby bluish. I want them to stand out as much in their armor as they do in physical appearance from their brethren. To me it doesn't matter I'd the are brothers by blood, they will never be what they once were prior to their transformation in the eyes of the SW. In fact they will always be viewed of what fate lies in the future. RikuEru
Interesting video to see the model as a whole. I desperately hope that the arms fit Terminator torsos, so I could maaaaybe make a unit of Terminator-Wulfen with Shield and Hammer - that way I could use them as Termis or as Wulfen with Shield&Hammer Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319065-gw-video-painting-wulfen/#findComment-4302288 Share on other sites

Nadir
With terminator legs, they will look great as Void Claws (using 'ol Gate power to enter a battlefield). Valerian
Wow, that young lady can paint! Looks great, and as already noted, they look a lot better when the legs are painted to match the torso. I don't plan on regular marine legs unless I cut and elongate them. I'm working on some ideas but nothing will be concrete until I have the sprues in hand and know how they all fit together. Guest Triszin
Simple conversion for most people who don't like these guys legs, cut the legs off at the knee then put a terminator leg on. I think they might be close enough size wise to not look funny Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319065-gw-video-painting-wulfen/#findComment-4302651 Share on other sites
Rune Priest Jbickb
I'm thinking of doing all the armor parts in grey as that is the old space wolves color and these are wolves from days gone by. Otherwise a cool paint job though doubtful I can go on that level, but you never know Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319065-gw-video-painting-wulfen/#findComment-4302655 Share on other sites

That might make them have feet of Sideshow Bob proportions. Terminator legs were going to be my first choice as we see that done with those that like to truescale Marines. However as I have seen them more with the release of so many pics and the knowledge that the worse one can have his legs swapped out, I can live with the lupine legs. lovesmuffins
The more I think about it the more I like the idea of cutting up my chaos terminators legs for this project and sculpting over them. My sculpting skills aren't up to snuff but I think this will be amazing practice for that. Wispy
Nah. i think the feet scale well. I've done photoshops. The wulfen are tall, thick monsters so it works better thwn you think. Granted if you want to go a themed 13th Co now that we have Wulfen, you got legs to mix and match for Grey Slayers and Storm Claws.
