The sokar pattern stormbird, worth the points and cash?

As the title suggests.

Would you use one in your army?

Rules wise they seem pretty strong, 2 void shields that can project out, and invulnerable 5+ save.

The points cost trail it a couple of hundred behind a reaver, also cash wise.

So what would you better off using? Is it a rule of cool thing?

What are your thoughts?

What Advantages/disadvantages do you think?

No! I had a job supporting up a thunder hawk, this thing looks a bit bigger and more resin, you'd have to double up on the supports I think.

I think within my group, we have started to play 3500 or 4K as standard to get 'big toys' in.

For its uses, I could see it dropping off a primarch, bodyguard and some contemptor ancients loyal to thei primarch.

Yes it is tricky, it's not like a Titan that's interchangeable with legions..

I have the choice of emperors children, blood Angels or thousand sons at the moment. (Eventually) as those are the ones I'd like to do.

The number there was banded about after the weekender, it's guess work really

Yeah, when asked about price, the staff at the weekender kept saying that the Warlord weighs 7.5 kg, and the stormbird weighs 5 kg, so basically they are implying somewhere in the ballpark of 2/3 the cost of a Warlord Titan.

That seems a bit excessive/exaggeration to me at least.

Considering the model isn't twice as big as a standard Thunderhawk, I'd say somewhere between the Thunderhawks 426 pounds and 826 seems like a good bet.
