40's ex gamer getting back into the hobby after dusting off my old copies of Heroquest and Blood Bowl from the parents attic. Off to my (only) local club tomorrow eve for look in, hopefully be on here a bit more as well in future - loads of knowledge to point me in the right direction!

Cheers

Welcome back! :)

You should check out both 40k and "The Horus Heresy" or 30k - it uses a lot of old design elements from the good old days, you may like it (and GW even released a plastic starter set for it which is also a cool board game).

Also, slightly off-board, but SG will re-release Blood Bowl ... not soon, but soonTM!

Welcome back, always nice to have some other grizzled vets smile.png

Thanks Atia. Took delivery of 7th ed rules last week, currently ploughing through Dark Millennium (I enjoy the fluff/canon side). Codex:SM in transit, along with some random ebay purchases to get me started. Trying to paint my Space Hulk (14 rere) 'stealers, and I have the HH:BaC box set on the way too. Like a typical noob I thought "great I can build an army around that perhaps" not realising it was 30k laugh.png.

Yeah saw some of the new BB release stuff. Not sure tbh, I've got loads of 3e teams and the LRB rules seem pretty much unbeatable so will sit tight on this one.

Btw does anyone know how to switch back to the mobile version?

Go way waaay to the bottom of the page and look in the bottom left corner. There should be a clickable phrase "Change Theme". This should allow you to switch between the mobile version and the desktop version of the site. Word of warning, though: The mobile version will have reduced functionality compared to the desktop version, with fewer options and far less information available at a glance. :)
