Just bought another Imperial Knight...

I'm looking to expand my 30k Ultras into a 3k list, and I'll be doing so by adding two Questoris Knights.

I recently got my hands on Book IV, Conquest. Now, I've noticed that the Battle Cannon is Ordinance 3 in 30k... that's pretty fantastic! Why did they decide to increase the power??

I'll be building my second Knight as a standard Paladin but also going to add to Stormspear Rocket on top for added ranged firepower.

This will give me a Warden and a Paladin, both equipped with Stormspear Rockets. I'm looking to make the Warden the HQ, as I think he'll benefit a lot from the extra BS and boosted invul Whilst the Paladin throws down 3 Templates a turn from the back as he guards my deployment zone.

Do any of you have experience with Knights in the 30k setting? I actually think they'll be extremely powerful, more so than in 40k. I couldn't resist expanding my force this way, they'll be a distraction away from my Primarch. Is there anything obvious I'm missing or doing wrong?

Also, are ocular augmetics and bio-corrosive rounds worth the points?

Its 3 shots but less strength so a lot less useful against vehicles, depends on your meta :) I actually find Knights less dangerous than in 40k but then my armies are tuned to kill Spartans asap (Again due to meta) and my Praetor rips knights to shreds :D

Augmetics and Biocorrosive rounds are handy to round up points but not essential really, except on the atrapos :D

To be honest, I run an all knight army backed by either SA or Legion support. They're not really as good as some people think. Mine usually always drop like flies and the last one I usually have alive is my lancer due to being a sensechal. Are they fun though? Yes! I love seeing the other guy crap himself looking at Knights and trying to figure out how to take care of them. But they are a fantastic distraction unit!
IMO the questoris list needs a minimum of 3 knights before it starts to get good as at that point the knight ranks start to appear double dakka knights or styrix with interceptor and skyfire, out flanking lancers , extra fast Atropos with re rollable ranged d

Well, I'll be running a full Ultramarines army alongside the Knights, with multiple high threat units...

In my experience even a single Knight can be hard to deal with. I typically run one in 40k, and use it cautiously. Is it the abundance of graviton weapons that makes them less threatening in 30k?

Theres a lot more armour in 30k, at least round our parts, so in my case, plenty of grav, rapiers and medusas (especially) tend to smash knights flat and a preponderance of cataphract terminators make assaults faaaar more risky for the knights to boot.
