Looking for some heads

Obeliske

Recommended Posts

So I'm looking for some heads for my models, I'm doing a cold weather theme and have completed my models. However the heads that I bought I'm not to happy with I have one with balaclavas and one with ushankas and some sort of mask (looks vaguely skull like in that it has vertical slits for the mouth and big eyes). Problem is I want to like the balaclava but the head just seems to small and the ushanka I don't like the mask. I've found two alternatives, one with the ushanka and a plain face, I'm not a fan of this one as it just seems a bit plain and one with an ushanka and a gas mask but it's cold weather not poisonous world tongue.png

Any help finding alternative heads would be greatly appreciated.

++EDIT: I changed your title Obeliske, it was funny but a little inappropriate. Carry on. ;) ++

could you gs the fabric over regular heads?

I had thought of this TBH and I may buy the ushanka heads with no face covering and make my own balaclavas, I'm not particularly good with GS modeling though and am loath to do it.

I'm not sold on the ushanka heads either but they are what I'm leaning towards of the two.

As for changing my title no biggie, I thought it was amusing and would garner more attention to the topic. I was unsure if it would be an issue and I appreciate your changing the name rather then just deleting the post thank you.

Cast thine eyes upon the Forges of Mars. Especially the "Non-GW Bits Producers" section. Mad Robot may be the way to go - they tend to specialize in 'modern military' heads - or Puppets War - great selection of different styles.

Yeah, I've gone through all of these and made lists and sorted them by which sites have parts applicable to which teams and then alphabetically. None have heads that are spot on what I wanted, lots of kinda sorta's you know :P Anywho figured I'd ask. At this point I've settled on a set and am good to continue.
