Ulrik with helmet

I do not like the "Hero of the Empire" head on the current Ulrik so I decided to try and convert him with his helmet on. I have trimmed a bit more off the right side near the pipes since I took the pic and angled the head to the right slightly to cover up some of the unavoidable damage to the piping on the helmet. If you're good with green stuff you could fix it pretty easy. I am not. I'll save the back pack for when he's being painted because there is some detail on the back that I don't want to mess up. It is a fairly easy job but you have to take your time a use a really sharp knife to trim the fingers. The hand swap is easy too. I just took one of our ornate looking plasma pistol arms and angled the cut around the elbow and trimmed off the excess elbow pad to fit.

Good cutting!

I think I will keep my helmet off, as the pose with it on wasn't what I was expecting. Glad to see someone else take a crack at it before I went off and turned it into something I wouldn't be happy with.

I already built mine but wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I liked the pose. Problem is I don't like it with the helm.
Thanks! I turned the head slightly yo the right for two reasons, one being it gives a little movement to the model as it looks like he's surveying the battlefield to see where he's needed most and two to cover up the bit of piping that I damaged during the cut. It's minor but if you know it's there your eye just goes right to it.

I really like what you've done, brother!! The tilted head makes him look less static for sure.

But... I am one of the (possibly few) people who think Ulrik looks great stock.

I just wanted to extend my admiration of your total success in the conversion!!

End of Line
