Tempestus Scions as Scouts

Has anyone done this?

 

I know the heads look good on the scout models but the figures themselves look so much more bad ass than the scouts ones and, seeing as they are now WS/BS 4, I feel their model should look the part!

 

I'm thinking of getting rid of the extended barrel on the lasguns and the cabling and adding a bolter barrel (or possibly a silencer made from tubing - any suggestions on what to use?) to give them boltguns, or leave them more "as is" for use as snipers. The only thing I haven't worked out yet is how to get a heavy bolter or missile launcher in there but I'm sure something will come to mind!

I used to always include a unit of scouts but I've never cared for the models and the scions would make fine replacements. I agree about needing to change the weapons, but I wonder if scout arms would work on scion bodies?

 

You could also just use parts of the scions to make your own custom scouts. ;)

That looks awesome - Where is the body from?

 

I think I'm gonna take the plunge - I just need to figure out what width tubing to make the silencers out of and how to do the heavy weapons... Any ideas?
