HarasinCreed
So a very long time ago I had the idea to start a samurai space marine army and finally I have the money to do so. Here is the very early stages of my army Basic Chaos Space Marine with Close combat weapon (unpainted) http://i.imgur.com/hKbcYjD.jpg First Marine painted with the correct colour scheme but no samurai helmet or blade http://i.imgur.com/3kqwytl.jpg Chaos Lord in Terminator armour/ daemon prince http://i.imgur.com/AFVweHT.jpg Custom forge fiend with Hades Auto cannon http://i.imgur.com/fUKJIdI.jpg http://i.imgur.com/1w90qey.jpg All feedback would be great! Im getting some Dark Angels bodies for the basic marines to go with the helmets and swords. I will also be putting a large banner on the back of the forgefiend and on all aspiring champions. I would also like to know if you guys think people will let me play my 'forgefiend' in a real game because he is a decent amount smaller and his overall body shape and size is fairly different. Cpt_Reaper
Perhaps run it as a contemptor or one of those decimator daemon engines? It's an interesting conversion in any case. Can't wait to see more. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319609-bleeding-dragons-chaos-samurai/#findComment-4315868 Share on other sites
Soldier of Dorn
Hmmm... Samurai are cool. Space Marines (obviously) are cool, and Chaos is also cool. So that must mean that this project is also cool. Lovely work so far. Very clean defined paintwork, though for a Samurai-inspired army, I would expect more red and orange tones in the colour scheme. It's still a welcome change though. I will be watching with interest. Also, have you heard of the Emperor's Shadows? I'm sure you have, but if not, and you needed any sort of inspiration, that's GW's (well, Victoria Lamb's) official Japanese-inspired Chapter. Loyalist, but interesting nonetheless. Kelborn
Cool stuff! I like your Chaos Lord the most for now. Interesting conversion of a Tau battlesuit. I'm excited to see the result. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319609-bleeding-dragons-chaos-samurai/#findComment-4315994 Share on other sites
HarasinCreed
Thanks so much for the feedback earlier. The decimator engine is a good idea and its a very good approximate size. I have had a look at the Emperors Shadows and I like them very much. My inspiration came in part from them and in part from Christian Piras. Some more stuff Iv painted since the last time. Im really wanting some feedback on the last guy because that is what the majority of my force is going to look like. I feel for some reason its a bit random. Dont know how to tie the weathered look into the cloth. http://s18.postimg.org/np0swrzg5/12324935_980483195364501_337262529_n.jpg http://s18.postimg.org/yako8s5rp/12421514_980483185364502_965595382_n.jpg http://s18.postimg.org/44m9tzyut/12833224_988325274580293_1702159993_n.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319609-bleeding-dragons-chaos-samurai/#findComment-4330602 Share on other sites
