Howdy Guys and Girls - let me introduce you to an upcoming series of homebrew rules for some 30k characters. These are unofficial and mostly for campaign stuff, so ask your opponent in case you want to use them in your games smile.png

Link to our unoffical Character Series rules page:

Let's start with

Nathaniel Garro, Battle-Captain of the Death Guard:

Nathaniel Garro was originally the Battle-Captain of the Death Guard Legion's 7th Great Company and later became the leader of a band of Space Marines gathered from all the Legions who remained Loyal to the Emperor of Mankind and became the core of what would become the Knights Errant. He was the leader of the 70 surviving Loyalist Astartes who alone of the Death Guard Legion escaped the massacre of Loyalists at Istvaan III aboard the Imperial Navy frigate Eisenstein to bring word of the Warmaster Horus' betrayal of the Emperor to Terra.

Stay tuned for more stuff in the future smile.png

PS: feedback welcome! tongue.png

Ohhhhhh <3

That's awesome and a really logical set of rules. Yay! Well done to the bunnies.

Thanks :) <3

We are going to focus mostly on Great Crusade characters that won't be done by FW, or guys who already died off in BL novels, aswell as our avatar characters in the future!

Edge of Truth is a brilliant and very fitting ability. The whole thing has a very high production value.

Thanks smile.png

I hate the guy that did that conversion.

Out of jealousy tho. Awesome conversion. Love it.

Oh we are all jealous no worries. wub.png But he also made an awesome conversion and painting guide for Garro, really helpful especially the oil paint part smile.png

Ill have to show this to my brother hes been wanting to use pre things going horribly wrong garro since he plays deathguard

Fantastic work from yer team as always

Glad you like it smile.png

And thanks, Drake did both the sheet and the model, next on the list is a SoH chaplain smile.png

Oooooh, unofficial rules & models for 30k Characters?

Remember that one time you said you'd make a model for poor old Julius Atia? wink.png

Yeah, yeah, he is on my (rather huge) to-do list, no worries :)

Awesome! Great model and great rules! I love how much thought went into this

thanks.gif

Love the data sheet, but I'd drop his points to 150 flat.

He's losing quite a few impressive rules from his Knights Errant version.

I know that Drake wasn't quite happy, but choosed the higher points for now. It's probably the curse that homebrew chars are better accepted once a bit overcosted. We may adjust the rules once we had a few games with him though, this is basically a living document. smile.png thumbsup.gif

Aside from the excellent miniature and the fun rules, I agree with others, it's the high production value.

I think you set an example that we should all bring copies of our army list to games in that unofficial HH book format.

Don't worry; I won't ask for the template.  Part of the exercise is I got to reverse-engineer that myself.

In fact, you gave us a great asset in the form of the idea alone.  Great leadership by example.  Thanks for that, Atia and Drake.

Big thanks :)

Another thing I really want to do in the future are more cards/units for Betrayal at Calth ... but that's a mammoth quest of its own, and shall be bespoken elsewhere and on another day :P

Will there be Fafnir Rann..... The High Executioner himself...? (That is not a request, to be wicked clear)

Fafnir Rann, Arkhas Fal or Malcharion are definitely on my personal to-do list :)

All cool characters with lots of potential - it really depends if FW will do them or not!

Don't worry; I won't ask for the template.

I will though! May we please have it? smile.png

The whole datasheet is homebrewed by Drake - took him alot of time to get it done. It's also tailored to the specific characters (since the model pic also works as watermark, like FW's), hence we probably won't do a generic template for now.

Totally fair. I look forward to more!

Can I hope for a model and rules for Lhorke of the War Hounds? tongue.png

I can't comment on the rules, but the page and model look awesome.

We would be happy to do Lhorke, but chances are he will be done by FW (atleast his rules). We will see how the second part of Calth/Shadow Crusade pans out :).

When did Lhorke got interred into a Dreadnought? Think it was pre-Angron?

That is absolutely epic, any hints as to who is next? A certain Warsmith who ended up in Ultramar? wink wink, nudge nudge and all that.

No, we don't have plans for Dantioch any time soon (I think we may get him from FW tbh - would be a shame to not get the dream teams, Argel Tal + Khârn and Pollux + Dantioch ;)) :<

Next character will be one of the homebrewed for our campaign :)

I believe so, since Lhorke wasn't among the officers who got slaughtered by Angron after the Emperor teleported him away from his gladiators. I've not reached the part of Betrayer where he appears though, so I'm not sure.

And I didn't think he'd appear in the Shadow Crusade. That'd be nice. I'm not expecting a model from Forge World either though, so I'm looking forward to the battle bunnies' take on him. tongue.png

EDIT: I reached Lhorke's part.

World Eaters. Lhorke still felt an intruder to that name. He'd lived and died as a War Hound, in the decades before Angron, before they took the name Eaters of Worlds to honour the primarch's slain rebel army, the Eaters of Cities.

-Betrayer, p. 152

Lhorke had fallen in battle thirty years before the primarch's arrival.

-Betrayer, p. 153
