zefig
Hello B&C, I've decided to share my progress on the Knights of House Rouennais. Progress that at times can be as plodding as these mechanical monstrosities appear themselves. But, inspired by the incredible knightly blogs of EdT's Mingati and JeffTibbetts' Queen Bee, I've decided to track my own progress here. So without further ado, I am already significantly underway on my project. I have done some conversion and assembly work on two knights so far, a GW Warden/Crusader kit and a Dreamforge Leviathan Crusader that will henceforth be one of my Leviathan-pattern Cerastus Knights. It's currently set up as a Castigator. http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2015/7/2/725826_sm-.jpg I've outfitted the Questoris knight so far with both the gatling cannon and a much swankier RFBC than the standard kit. http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2015/7/8/727228_sm-.jpg I started working on a set of Acheron weapons for the Leviathan, and my first thought was that the forgeworld Acheron's chain fist wasn't particularly...fisty. My solution: http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2015/12/10/763114_sm-Acheron%2C%20Cerastus%2C%20Chainfist%2C%20Knight%20Titan%2C%20Reaper%20Chainfist.jpg And last night, I did a significant amount of work on the Acheron's flamer. I still need to do some greenling, plumbing, create the igniters and fuel lines to those, and make the perforated cowl that imperial flamers almost always have. If anyone has a recommendation of a material I could use for the cowl that wouldn't involve having to drill a ton of holes that I would inevitably get off-pattern for, I'd love suggestions. http://images.dakkadakka.com/gallery/2016/2/25/781355_sm-Acheron%2C%20Cerastus%2C%20Chainfist%2C%20Flamer%2C%20Imperial%20Knight%2C%20Knight%20Titan%2C%20Knights.jpg Edited February 25, 2016 by zefig Kelborn, Pearson73, Chandrian and 2 others 5 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319701-the-knights-of-house-rouennais-wip/ Share on other sites
Inquisitor Hein
I cannot believe no one actually answered to that topic. Anyway - better late than never - a really great idea. I like the attention to little details you put into that conversion (e.g. the chainblades on the claws).
