Vals Fists - Glorious Fist

Recommended Posts

Decided to step into the breach and finally create my HH force, looking to go around 2500 points. It's my first time painting models so please give me any helpful advice. I wanted to give them a really dirty battered look, I have some lore for them which I will do more in-depth another time but basically there at the siege of Terra and are being hammered :)

Looking good, much better with the trim.

Thanks mate!

My Sergeant, he's seen some stuff...

Would he care to see a chainaxe also? smile.png

You could try, better men have fell before his gaze tongue.png

Yes! Another soul for the VII Legion!

Your yellow looks good, brother, what's your recipe?

Basically I'm not a pro or anything, I just sprayed it with Corax White, slapped on a thin layer of Yriel Yellow then used Agrax Earthshade to give it a dirty look biggrin.png

Gritty and pretty

Thanks, mate!

Finished Terminator squad:

Since I ran out of glue, decided to do most of my heads - just waiting on them to dry before I add the battle damage

Gonna come with 100% honesty. They're a little to weathered for my taste. Your skill is undeniable but I feel like some of the detail is getting lost in all the scratches and dirt. Just my opinion though and more Fists are ALWAYS a good thing.

Thanks for the feedback mate, I really appreciate it! I'm one of those people who love the weathered affect biggrin.png

Finished, here is my force so far (Siggy was painted by someone else some time ago)

10 Man Templar shall be rising soon!

Thanks mate, I decided not to use the Templar helmets because I wanted Sigismund to stand out with his helmet, giving them all the same helmets IMO would make Siggy look quite bland :)

Group is coming a long nicely:

Also forgot to post this, for people wondering my process on making the yellow, you can more or less see the start to finish biggrin.png

Oh man. The mark four helmets on mark 3 armor looks good. It seems so obvious now, but I had honestly never thought of that combination.

Thanks, I'm just using what I have got :D

If this is your first time painting minis, you must have some previous art experience in other areas. These are very nice! You even do good bases.

Thanks, I've always wanted to start an IF army I was just too scared, even more so when people said Yellow is one of the hardest things to get right. I am really pleased with my results, I know there nothing special, basic Table Top Standard but I'm chuffed with them :D

Yer Work here is absolutely fantastic.  As someone who subscribes to models looking like they  have actually been in a warzone this whole army so far looks beautiful.

Thank you very much :D

First lot all based:

Champion is coming along nicely, I gave him golden trims so he stood out more :D
