Balthamal
Why are people jumping the gun? The title is Angels of Caliban? Says absolutely zero about it being set on Caliban lol. Besides Konrad is currently at large on Macragge so literally jumping through a portal the entire length of the galaxy is a bit much no? Also GM didn't write Pharos, Guy Haley did and UE was Dan. In all fairness I find Curze's portrayed combat abilities to have been handled better than most of the Primarchs but then when you consider he's almost exclusively been done by ADB and Dan Abnett it's not that much of a stretch, good writing will out and so forth. Guy did a really good job in showing what happens when two fighters who both possess precognitive function would fight. Plus UE showed he wasn't infallible. The Lion got the drop on him and only bad timing saved him. It would be the same for all of the Primarchs when put in their perfect element. Back on topic, Eye of Terror is an anthology? I'm expecting the same for the silent war and it's inevitable Path of Heaven will be another limited edition. Interesting if it is Sevarian and Malcador on The Silent War. Fire Golem
Path of Heaven is Wraights sequel to Scars, I doubt it'll be limited (bloody hope not). Kol Saresk
The time with the Grenades and the Smurf ? Cause that was pretty good work on Kurze's part Exactly! Now the only question is whether or not fighting on (what appears to be) a planet made entirely of fire will bolster or hinder Kurze's magical shadow-man powers.I imagine it will be similar to the flashlight in the Alec Baldwin movie of the Shadow back in the 90's. ie, "There's his shadow! Attack it!" Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319943-heresy-novel-sneak-peeks/page/2/#findComment-4324916 Share on other sites

Flint13
I wonder how Curze would fare against the Khan or Fulgrim? Based on exactly nothing besides pure conjecture, I think Fulgrim wouldn't fare so hot, especially if he were in a circumstance like Gulliman and the Lion in Unremembered Empire. I feel like he'd be too easily flustered and distracted. Khan, on the other hand, I feel like would actually be fast and intuitive enough to balance out the advantage Kurze has from being a magical shadow-man. It'd be a pretty awesome fight at the very least. I don't believe numbered novels have ever been limited edition, and all of these are numbered. Calas Typhon
Curze looks a bit dodgy. I honestly think that Space Wolf? (It definitely is not Severian looking at it now) is the most normal looking person in these pieces of art. I think it might have been confirmed to be Sevarian. What the hell happened to the gang markings? God damn it black library. Taliesin
*Thumps fist on table.* "Master of Mankind! I demand it!" I am a little surprised it's not in that line up, actually. I know Mr. D-B maintains that he is an aggressively glacial writer, but I thought it was slated for release this year. It's not surprising that it is not in that line-up though. ADB is still writing it and while it is scheduled for this year as far as we know, it's likely to be in the last few months. The mark of the Blackbloods I believe the gang he ran with was marked over his Left eye, it was mentioned in Vengeful Spirit, and I believe he is on some Artwork in a Garro audiobook? Edit: Scrap that, found it. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/319943-heresy-novel-sneak-peeks/page/2/#findComment-4325616 Share on other sites
Kol Saresk
Ah. Idk, ask the artists. They've always taken creative liberties. Chances are he still has it, just not in the artwork.
