Kierdale Posted March 4, 2016 Share Posted March 4, 2016 Welcome to - Daemon Forge - This time, due to Insane Psychopath being busy, with his permission I am starting Daemon Forge XII. - Daemon Forge - is aimed as a hobby challenge. Each month will see a set theme for Chaos. This will range from a set unit type, single models, object marker & set themes. The aim is pretty simple. It's all about seeing cool models for Chaos. This month’s theme is `Upon Cursed Wings`. Suitable models include: Chaos Space Marine Raptors Chaos Space Marine Warp Talons Chaos Daemon Furies To take part you can either... - Use the time to get those models painted. Or if you want to test out an idea or you've have a suitable unit converted up and want to get them painted...now is the time. - If you already have a unit you've already painted, just post them up. Since this pic was taken he's been moved onto another base, had the mold lines cleaned and primed black. MaliGn Posted March 5, 2016 Share Posted March 5, 2016 I've been planning some khorne jump troops, was intending to use AOS khorne kits to kitbash them up, but I'm not sure which kit to use , that looks like the kind of thing I was planning, which kit did you source the bits from? I'll also try get some more photos of the Chaos vs Ultramarine display that Warhammer World, with the Raptors vs Assault Marine duly help give other hobbiest idea. I know, beside been great models - this display got me adding a unit of Raptors to my Iron Warriors force last year & using a lot of the flying stand. Will be posed jumping forwards (likely kicking off a tree or other anchor-point modelling-wise). Bolt pistol and chainsword'er. Also likely kicking off and travelling horizontally. Used a couple of chains from the CSM box to show movement. Second flamer-wielder. The spray is steadily being built up with glue and repeated dippings in flock, and will have a bit travelling across the base showing the path of the fire as he flies along. Champion. Standing proud upon a cast-down statue of Baharroth. Stole his sword too, for good measure. The bases of some of the other Raptors will have fragments of the statue on them too. Arm magnetized for chainsword or claw. I may give him a combi-bolter on a sling. And lastly... this one won't be getting many cover saves... Balances perfectly too. Here's my black legion raptor Slaanesh sorcerer. Here's the main body, the idea for the body is to have the lower part of it to be unarmored (just look up some Slannesh marines and you will see what i mean). Then for the jump pack am going to take a storm boyz jump park and take away the orks bits and at the same time add some more chaos bitz to it (maybe add some wings of flayed human skin.) For the legs am going to have the old school robot raptor legs that everyone loves. The current plastic Raptor models are really cool & really fun to paint.Also quickly say - During the weekend I was that Warhammer World for the Throne of Skulls event. It also allow me time to check out the cool display once again. This board help with a lot idea's I've had over the past while & got me to add lot more cool units & models to my Iron Warriors.
