TOTAL 3999 pts

the idea is to make the most out of Perturabo's special rules (including master of the legion):

perturabo gives everbody stubborn, furious charge in the enemy deployment zone (terminators)

ironfire reduces scatter around the terminators and makes them fearless,

1st turn Primarch + Command in Dreadclaw drop into enemy deployment zone (homing beacon, nuncio-vox)

20 terminators home in on Perturabo: combi-plasma or melta, charge next turn (chainfists, implacable advance)

3 tanks/6 rapiers lay down barrage (25+d3 small AP3 and 2 big AP2 blasts)

Tac Squads advance into midfield via flanks (ignore morale tests from casualities, stubborn, fearless near ironfire)

tyrants guard backfield artillery, advance through middle (cover tanks), shoot enemy armor (split fire, night vision)

answer to spartan deathstars: chainfists, medusae

answer to enemy primarchs: combi-plasma

answer to titans: combi-melta, chainfists

answer to everything else: phosphex barrage

possible allied detachment: militia (more medusae, more corpses to grind), add Tormentor

Looks like a really solid list, though I think that combat blades on the tacticals is a bit of a waste on a unit without a transport. the points saved there would allow you to bulk out the squads a little more. Just my two cents. I think that this list loses steam against alpha strike and flyer heavy armies  though.

Good looks on this list. Definitely the successor to your other Perturabo led terminator stomp. (4000 pts tho :/)

Seems more than likely he backbone of most Ironfire lists will probably be anchored by multiple quad launchers, Medusa, and Scorpius. When they review the points of troops options, I'm hoping Breachers get a good drop like Assault Squads so we can use those for compulsory instead of regular tacs. Thematic and fitting.

This list looks nasty, but its also 4000 points so there are a lot of equally nasty tricks that other legions can do at that level involving their Primarchs. Dropping in Perturabo and Terminators first turn has great synergy with the Ironfire Artillery you have backing this up... you are going to start laying down some serious damage right out of the gate on Turn 1. However, since you are so aggressive you can expect to end up in close combat right away where the Ironfire portion of your list is less effective - I believe this is what the Rite of War forces you to give in return for its advantages.

All that being said, Perturabo and his squad can teleport so they don't need a Dreadclaw. If you are afraid of them scattering in a way that's unfavourable then take a Damoscles Rhino... in fact I'd say one of these is mandatory in a list like this. The Ironfire Counter from the Barrage attack, the bonus to reserves rolls, and the no Deep Strike scatter bubble are too perfect for this list for you to not take one.
