Bloody Legionnaire
Anybody specialize in doing scenery with destroyed vehicles and what not? I'm to start up discussions and guides for building scenery that feature destroyed vehicles and other battle-damaged themed terrain. Brother Pheidias
Wouldn't say I specialize in it, but while building two Deimos-pattern Rhinos, I realized I'll have the bits for some destroyed, half-buried rhinos. Bloody Legionnaire
I'm surprised there are not more people that try to do it. The one piece of terrain GW has with the destoyed rhino is kinda nice.. but I'd like to do something a little more custom. Don't really know where to begin. SW1
The reason why you see so few is the idea of scrapping a serviceable vehicle kit for terrain rather than just adding to ones army, is a bit further than most people are willing to go financially. However if you can pick up a knackered tank from somewhere they're pretty easy to add to terrain. Another source of vehicle bits is broken kids toys. Have a look in charity shops or even ask of they have any broken stuff you'd be happy to give a donation for. One mans junk is another mans treasure trove. :tu: Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320081-diy-destoyed-scenery/#findComment-4329695 Share on other sites

Pick up some kid's old Rhino project for a few dollars – there's lots of awfully abused models out there, and you're not looking for something in a good state of repair to begin with –, then strip it, smash it, glue it to an old CD-ROM or whatever works for you as a base, and finish off with some random rubble. You'll have a great time. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320081-diy-destoyed-scenery/#findComment-4329724 Share on other sites
