lionofjudah
Morning all, After a months long hiatus I am coming back to the fold here in the guard. I devoted severa years to the heresy train and while loving the minis and the history being explored I missed the simplicity and truth of the Emperors finest. Truthfully I also gave up the brush for many months and did a lot of soul searching in regards to the hobby I have been involved in for 26 years. I have resolved to not purchase anything new but to trade my loving painted 30k fists army for some Amazeballs reson goodness from a wonderful chap In the UK and to dedicate my hobby time to developing a finer hand with my airbrush, practicing severe urban combat weathering and fine detailing each vehicle. I do not know if I am too late to step up for the Lutum campaign but I hope to reenter the hobby here. I have a Crassus, salamander scout, tank hunter, plasma Russ a vulture and perhaps a macharius Vulcan winging their way across the atlantic to me. IValso have 2 bags of elysians, plenty of cadian hazmat bodies and some cadian respirator upgrades waiting for me and my brushes. I'd been working on rebasing all of the fists to the 32mm bases so I have a full complement of painted secret weapon urban rubble bases to add back to the new units I will be adding. Will be reapproproating the laser destroyer rapiers for the 501st Enterians and am just happy to be back home:) Time spent in the midst of the heresy helped me to see how the humble guardsman/Astra/auxilia are the backbone of the Imperium of man- the supermen astraes are cool but the humble guardsman, he holds my heart as mere mortals stepping to the plate backed by the vast armories of the imperium have no peers in my eyes. Anyways, I'm excited to be back and will be adding pics of my new projects shortly. lionofjudah
http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i444/Default75/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsolqtkiiz.jpeg Lil image to whet my whistle as I begin the begin to reimagine the Artemisian Enterians. We are a mixed mech regiment, a conflagration of members of multiple detachments all battling here on Enterius. Members of the 4th Artemisian Lancers, the 803rd Paratroopian flight, the 14th Dragoons as well as multiple other guardsman thrown together in the moment of battle. My entire army is modeled around a pitched battle in a city environment. The MBTs are sporting extra armor and all the necessities of a group at extended campaign. I have about 90 dudes already painted and I will be going back through each one to rehighlight and tighten up the paint jobs from several years go. I feel much more comfortable with a higher detail after my 30k Iron Fists as well as with the WN.005's;) Here's what the armor will wind up looking like- some of you old timers will probably recognize:) http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i444/Default75/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsoflkvdop.jpeg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320110-stepping-back-into-the-fray/#findComment-4333995 Share on other sites

lionofjudah
Thanks ulrik. There are 2 regular FW russes and a vanq- I had a conqueror turret but sold it last year for some reason. The baneblade body is mounted on land raider sides and tracks as those were the remnant parts from my first baneraider I built from my true scale space wolves(just sold that and got myself a spartan and another FW Russ). I have a volcano cannon from a friend that fits on the demolisher cannon so it can run as a medium heavy tank hunter and I am also thinking she could be a dracosan counts as... Although with the Crassus inbound i don't know if I need a heavy transport. Although another demolisher cannon is always welcome;) My Brit box should arrive tomorrow and I will take pics of all the crackcandyresingoodness then:):) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320110-stepping-back-into-the-fray/#findComment-4338115 Share on other sites

lionofjudah
Few updates Here's my Crassus build- model was cast in Asia and is one of the worst builds I've ever had. Nothing is even at all and I improvised as much as I could. http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i444/Default75/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsu0r2qqms.jpeg I switched turret weapons and added plasma cannons to make a supped up executioner http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i444/Default75/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsjm1pew93.jpeg http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i444/Default75/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsfknhqqeq.jpeg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320110-stepping-back-into-the-fray/#findComment-4347957 Share on other sites
