skarn
Iposted this in the GK subforum, but thought I'd share it here too. I'm not much of a painter, but I think this turned out ok. Pic quality isn't great, I took them on my phone next to an open window. http://i65.tinypic.com/whbokm.jpg List; Inquisitorial Detachment: Inquisitor Vilchem Ilya HQ1: Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Warlord, ML1 psyker, force sword, Grimoire of True Names, 2 servo-skulls: 66pts Inquisitorial Agents Davos Hoff, Matthias Meyer, Gregor Karlsson & Gun Cutter Stratos EL1: 3 Henchmen (warrior acolyte (meltagun), deathcult assassin, Ministorum Priest, valkyrie gunship (multi laser, 2 hellstrike missiles): 179pts Grey Knight Nemesis Strike Force Formation: Brother Captain Darig Tegvar HQ1: Counts-as Captain Stern: 185pts Squad Joyeuse EL1: 5 Paladins Brotherhood Banner, apocathary, 2 psycannons, 2 hammers: 380pts Squad Durendal TR1: 5 Terminators 1 hammer & psycannon: 195pts Squad Almace FA1: 10 Interceptors 2 Incinerators: 260pts Squad Curtana HS1: Dreadknight Nemesis sword, heavy psycannon, gatling psilencer, personal teleporter: 235pts Total - 1500 points The army warlord Inquisitor Vilchem Ilya, his retinue and his gun cutter, the heavily modified Arvus Stratos: http://i68.tinypic.com/11v5ff7.jpg Brother Captain Darig Tegvar: http://i66.tinypic.com/2n0oim0.jpg Squad Joyeuse: http://i66.tinypic.com/a31dn5.jpg Squad Durendal: http://i63.tinypic.com/2rhtpg8.jpg Squad Almace and Callsign Curtana: http://i68.tinypic.com/9roev7.jpg Graymane, Marshal_Roujakis, Redtoof and 2 others 5 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320168-my-grey-knights/ Share on other sites

BrotherCaptainArkhan
Either you're a long-time fan of Bungie games, or (like me) spent far too much of your university degree studying the Song of Roland. Cool names, regardless ;) I like the weapon effects you've used! skarn 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320168-my-grey-knights/#findComment-4332851 Share on other sites
skarn
I thought callsigns named after famous swords would be cool, and the Song of Roland has quite a few. The weapon effects look better in person, though they were a pain to do. Each one has 2 pins holding it in place. skarn
I've updated this army for 8th edition.I added Draigo, a grandmaster dreadknight, a doomglaive, brother champ, a bunch of strike squads and the storm raven. Its now sitting at 2500pts.The whole army; Driago; Grand Master Dreadknight;Malleus Inquisitor & henchmen; Strike Cruiser (used as objective in games to represent a teleport pickup point or exterminatus beacon or something); Edited February 24, 2018 by skarn Prot, Race Bannon, deathspectersgt7 and 3 others 6 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320168-my-grey-knights/#findComment-5018420 Share on other sites
Bjorn Firewalker
Your painting skills made incredible improvements in the two years since you last posted in this thread. Prot
Love the heraldry and yes, you’ve grown leaps and bounds with your painting. Very nice. skarn 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320168-my-grey-knights/#findComment-5019104 Share on other sites
skarn
Thanks fellas. I'm not the best painter, but I like putting little touches into my armies to make them unique. For example, the brother captain is hoisting up a bloodthirster head - since this is the 7th brotherhood, he is Darig Tegvar, a survivor of Armageddon. Gamewise he gets the Cuirass of Sacrifice to represent his longevity amd ability to survive. I also gave him one of the original 1st ed Grey Knight nemesis swords. Another thing I did was magnetise my doomglaive so it fits underneath my raven; Bjorn Firewalker, Prot, Race Bannon and 1 other 4 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320168-my-grey-knights/#findComment-5021424 Share on other sites

Prot
I like how you handled the glow of the pilot in the Stormraven. skarn 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320168-my-grey-knights/#findComment-5021448 Share on other sites
