I am still waiting for the time when every legion gets covered and then perhaps i might just go for one of these. The numbered volume books, although go out of date rules-wise can be a great piece for collection cause they contain tons of great artwork, and although I am 31 years old at the time of this comment, I still love pictures in my books! smile.png with the red ones, once they get updated the previous ones literally lose their value, hence why im holding myself back on them until they cover everything. Just happy to see them constantly putting an effor into making new things. Thanks for the post!

Yeah the updated LACAL is slated for later this year according to the bits and pieces that came out of the HH Weekender

I'm eagerly anticipating a new LCAL book. If the rumours of adjusted point costs for things like Assault Marines is true it could change my lists quite a bit :-)

Will the new RoWs and the legion special rules from book 6 be inside? I'm hoping yes but my gut says no.

Maybe only time will tell.

One of the images on the site shows the World Eaters page and it has the book 6 updates.

so now...do i just buy the book or buy half of my planned army list so i get free shipping.....

I have a copy of the book from the Weekender. Nothing from Book Vi is in here; so none of the new Rites of War, nor the new special characters. The only things that are in here are any updated to Legion rules or units, adding the Iron Circle to the Iron Warriors section, and the addition of the Ultramarines to the book.

Wait, really? The image on the site definitely shows the updated world eaters traits.

That's what he said was in there.

The new red book is basically everything we had in book 5, but updated to book 6, plus the Iron Circle. So no new RoW, no new characters, no blackshields and no shattered legions.

Yes, we get updated traits, and the updates for any characters or units that we had before book 6, but that's it.

I don't get why they added the iron circle in but nothing else from book 6, that seems an odd decision.

I suppose they want to give people an incentive to buy Retribution or the rules weren't finished when they sent the red book to the printer.

Hmmm so the special characters from book 6 aren't in there? Since all the generic stuff would end up in the redone LACAL it's pretty much acceptable that it isn't there but I thought they'd at least make some sort of effort to consolidate everything that they currently have in print

But then why put the Iron Circle in there?

Oh i misunderstood when i read 'nothing from book 6 is in here'....so the new traits are but the new RoW for those legions is not?  So the WE section doesnt have crimson path for example even though it has the updated violence incarnate, is that accurate?
