Fire Golem
There was a maniple of Legio Cybernetica, of Carthage Cohort, attached to the Serrated Suns chapter (or the fleet they lead at least) of the Word Bearers in First Heretic. From what I can tell, maniples of Carthage Cohort were spread throughout the Word Bearers fleet. The Maniple with the serrated Suns was lead by Xi-Nu 73, and I remember 4 robots being mentioned, but can't remember what they were. Saa
My friend, the answers you seek lay in the novel The First Heretic. I could, as others have, offer quick fixes towards enlightenment, however that would be robbing you of the joy of TRUE enlightenment. If your desire for fluffy reasons to use Automata alongside the Bearers of the Word is strong..........read The First Heretic. Anything else is doing you a disservice. Lorgar protects. Saa....... .......or something like that Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320282-need-some-input-about-arelian-novel/#findComment-4334084 Share on other sites

Fire Golem
I can't remember if it mentions colour or what colour they are if it does. You don't have to read the series in the order they were released though. First Heretic is actually one of the first ones, chronologically. Silk
Thx fire, Then it could made a mistake with the books. In first heretic the word bearers had still the grey armour or? I would prefer the red word bearers with the battle automatas painted in an contrast but additionally I want to do it like in the fluff, and of that I think this could be a problem... Fire Golem
First Heretic spans ~50 years or so, so they start off grey and end up in the red. The Serrated Suns do anyway, I think the rest of the legion might go red slightly after. Fire Golem
Okay so looking at First Heretic, Xi-Nu's maniple of Carthage Cohort consists of 2 Crusaders, a Cataphract, and a Conqueror. In terms of models, I think Crusaders = Vorax, not sure about Cataphract, and Conqueror is the new Domitar. It says 'each one was clad in dense armour plating painted in chipped coats of crimson'. And later on it says that Carthage Cohort consisted of dozens of maniples, and 'over a hundred robots stood proud in their black and scarlet livery'. It also says they have oath papers and scripture scrolls fixed to them, as well as some Word Bearers iconography (the Domitar has the serrated Suns chapter symbol on its forehead).
