Amarog
Scibor is where i got some of mine. they're pretty decent and look very ornate and "special" ... perfect for your character models. http://sciborminiatures.com/en_,shop.php?art=890#i/conversion_parts/big/celtic_shields_01.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320313-alternative-space-wolves-shields-for-my-wold-lord-d/#findComment-4334651 Share on other sites
thymidine
If I was making my wolf lord now, I'd use one of the storm shields from the Wulfen kit. They are awesome! Gherrick
The shields that are part of Logan Grimnar's chariot are the same size as the standard cavalry shields, but much more ornate. I ended up with an extra set of shields after finding just the logan grimnar sprue on ebay (now I have him on the chariot and on a 40mm base). Vykryl
The Grimnar shields are a hair smaller than the TWC shields, size of the fantasy dwarf and marauder shields. What size are the Wulfen shields? Seems I read somewhere they are slightly larger the TDA shields. They would be great for a Wolf Lord. Has anyone tried the scibor dwarf shields? I've been tempted, but they don't tell the size like Amarog's link. Wispy
Vykryl, the Wulfen shields are around Terminator size but I don't know if I'd say they were bigger. They're slightly smaller than the one on the front of the Stormwolf. I'm using a Wulfen Stormshield for my lord, myself. It's the same style the Thunderwolf cavalry use but noticeably bigger so you know who is top dog. It fits just right on Harald's model. hammer grimblood
I'd say the shields are bigger than the TDA ones but not by much. However the shields that are completely round cover a larger area of the model and make it look much larger than it is.
