Deekthegreat
hey guys so i am looking at bringing some new things to my mechanicum army. as it stands i have 2 transports being picked up 2 battle tanks 2 squads of tech thralls some myrmadon destroyers and secutors. my question is are the myrmadons worth the money? i've seen people say ordo reductor is the only way to go since its all tanks and they are scoring outside our deployment zone. i'm really lost as to what to pick up so any advice would be helpful. just so its laid out i have 2 magos 6 thallax 5 castallax 2 with darfkfire cannons 2 thanatars with the mortors and a squad of vorax so not sure where to go but my real serious question is are the myrmadons worth the money it feels like you gotta buy like 6 sets just to have a squad of matching weapons which is kinda annoying. and does anyone suggest the domitor class model it looks kinda cool so i was thinking about picking it up. nziv
The myrmodins coming with 3 different weapons on them is extremely annoying, especially as they don't mix well, some being good at long range while others at short range. You can try the bit sites for the extra weapons but it's definitely hit and miss. I find the Krioss Venator to be wonderful and would recommend picking a couple of those up. Sol_Invictus
Just to clarify tanks are only scoring in the enemy deployment zone for Ordo Reductor and the only tanks I'd really imagine anyone pushing into the enemy deployment zone would be Triaros or Macrocarid. Maybe Krios. The artillery battery's armor is to weak to make it IMO and due to the Minotaur being unable to shoot at things within a minimum distance I don't imagine you'd want to move it much. Try bit sites and if that doesn't work you could always look into casting some copies of the weapons. Also agree the krios venator is pretty sweet. Based on what you have already it seems like you have the makings of a nice Cybernetica force not sure what you were working towards fluff wise but have you considered running Anacharis Scoria from book 6? His special rules make up for some of the downsides of running Cybernetica. Deekthegreat
Well since i havent played a game and i came into this army since somebody didnt want to play 30k anymore. I have about 800 bucks to spend on stuff. So getting enough myrmidon secutors and destroyers wouldnt be an issue. I guess instead of trying to go for the ordo reductor i can play cybernetica with the krios tanks as well right? Im figuring that cybernetica is really about big stompy robots right? I just dont feel my group would want to fight a dozen monstrous creatures that just run through them very very quickly sonce it seems mechanicum are tailor made to destroy astartes Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320335-mechanicum-purchases/#findComment-4335445 Share on other sites
