Vastopol
Hello all, Looking for a break from my Iron Warriors, im going to be working on a Raven Guard List (very troop heavy), Im thinking of basing them post Drop site, but during the 96 days they were trapped on the planet and being hunted by traitors primarily the world eaters, Im thinking of modelling the raven guard with a mishmash of armour types and throwing in some legion colours to represent the raven guard collecting equipment on the go, Anyone got examples of this or ways of making it look fluid opposed to random bits thrown together, I would heavily weather the armour anyway to bring all the pieces together Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320353-istvan-raven-guard-concept/ Share on other sites
Kaedes Nex
http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/652893.page Personally I would take many opportunities to include either a WE or DG shoulder on a purely black RG, since that single blue or green shoulder will really pop on the black, but any mix of parts will look good. IH are going to look the least impactful since their colors are literally identical with the black/silver/white unless you throw on some cog trim from their unique parts. If you have some spare IW bits it's a great opportunity to add some silver and gold to the RG. Vastopol
Awesome, I remember when the eye of terror supplement came out many years ago, they had a bit in there for 13th Legion Space Wolves with a similar theme, Ill keep you all posted as to my progress Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320353-istvan-raven-guard-concept/#findComment-4336045 Share on other sites
Amayasu
That's how i'm doing my Raven Guard too. It's a strong theme and a setting that is mostly unique for the RG. On the dark armour things really pop. But you need to go all in. Grab some semi-used decal sheets from eBay and really embrace it.
