ETL V- Motivation and Preparation AoD unite!

If someone says choom one more time I'm going to mess myself hard!

I currently only have 2 Tanks with choom....

Needs more choom, actually I need fw to release the space wolf upgrades so I can build choom soldiers

Started to work on the 30 choom chargers I got. I was following forgeworlds instructions on how to clean up the model when I got to the part where they had you use warm water and what they call washing liquid. Now in America we have no tolerance for this nonsense so I figured it just meant regular wash soap. 30 minutes later after washing them and the oil is still on the model I realize that it meant dish soap :(.

It may have been due to tiredness, but I'll just blame it on England to make me feel better.

Curse you England!

Well, FW goodness has arrived so time to plan out some vows. I was going to go with smaller vows in case time became an issue. Now I'm thinking larger ones may be better as I don't know how much an airbrush will speed up some of the steps and it gives more options to switch to if/when my attention starts to drift.

Thinking about Lorgar, ashen circle, gal vorbak, and a contemptor or two to start. HQs and veterans will round out the remaining work unless I decide to just lump it all in and only do a single vow. Definitely a bit ambitious given what I painted for the last two ETLs but it seems manageable.

April should be enough time to get it all prepared and do some stuff with the bases before the fun begins...

Damn you Olis and especially you Kurama, I prefer the look of the Falchion for a super heavy but the Choooooooooom on a Glaive.....

Buy both and swap the Carronade with the twin Volcano Cannons on the Falchion? Doesn't look like that difficult a conversion to pull off, and I'm certain you would be able to find *someone*, somewhere, who would want a Falchion on the Glaive chassis.

*indignant fluff*

I will splooge over whatever, whomever and whenever I choose!

I think it would be best for my sanity, wallet and continued relationship with the girlfriend to simply prep and vow my existing models.

So I should be able to do:

Legion/Loyalty Unknown

A Glaivechoom.

A Primaris Lightning#

Two Contemptor Dreadnoughts

10 Cataphractii Terminators

Unknown number of Legionaries - estimated between 30-60, arsenal unknown

XVIII Legion

5 Pyroclasts

Nomus Rhy'tan

Narik Dreygur

Vulkan

Contemptor Dreadnought

Land Raider Achilles

XII Legion

Angron

Accatran Pathfinders "Void Dragoons"

A Stormlord

A Malcador Infernus

A network of trenches & firing positions

20 Lasrifles

30 Veletarii

A Lord Marshal & Tactical Command Retinue

Sarum Mechanicum

Imperial Knight

3 Vorax Automata

Enginseer with 4 Servo Automata

Which I'm sure breaches the points limit so I get to pick and choose smile.png

So can I do models for more than one legion if I plump for AoD?

Most of what I want to do is Alpha Legion but I also have some Raven Guard in the wings waiting for painting.

Cheers

IIRC from reading the ETL thread you have to go for one faction only.

You can do what you want as long as you stay within the same ETL faction, not ingame army books.

The HH Faction incorporates all HH units from all the FW books. So ALL Legions, Mechanicum, Solar Auxilia and other units from other HH lists (e.g. Knights) are considered to be in the same Faction for ETL purposes.

Fire away! :D

Glorious. I can paint ALL the things now.

Legion/Loyalty Unknown

A Glaivechoom.

Form up ranks! Cover the flanks! Advance in full! The Glaives are here!

How many's this now? Four? Five? There'll be so many crimson beams that the Chaos rabble will be seeing after-images for weeks! :D

I've had it for years. I actually bought it on early release on a Games Day when it first came out. I'm making a conscious effort to build all the things lurking under my bed.

I'm thinking of assigning it to my Salamanders but they already have a Falchion..

And we shall know no fear for we are the Bearers of choom!

Rally the troops and bring forth the Volkite obscenity mwahahaha!
