Well now there is choom but choom can't be dropped until fw release those wolves torsos unfortunately.

If fw happen to release the helmets Pads and torsos I've got now nearly 200 MkIV bodies and a third will be bearing choom

Edit: it's good to wake up to this thread and all you guys, let's just say it looks like heaps but points wise it's not even a drop in the bucket compared to what the forum will do as whole, I could get a warlord titan ready for next years event but I'm currently staring it down in its box going nope not today (it's been like this for a good 2 months now).

Now guys remember this is about inspiration and if my hectic buying and building schedule doesn't motivate you guys I don't know what will.

Sell your children your organs stockpile your resin build and prime your resin, then when etl commences fake your death and don't return to work till your vows are complete

I've never taken part in ETL before... should... should I save a bulk of my Death Guard for this? The future is so uncertain.

Think about how much you can do in three months and plan accordingly. I'm not saying this as encouragement, I'm seriously advising you to be certain in what commitments you make. If you think you could definitely do a squad, pledge a squad and leave everything else for a potential later vow. If you are absolutely certain you could do half an army, go for it. Just bear in mind that if anyone does not fulfill their vow, it gets taken off the subforum's total completions at the end.

Lol fake your death had me laughing out loud at work.

Most go 'call in sick' which I did last year BTW, but no 'FAKE DEATH' is a whole other level.

Buddy I'm dead serious once this starts I'll be MIA in the real world till my vows are done.

As much as we would love for everyone to vow big, that's the thing that sunk our victory at the end of last etl completions are the goal.

Also something to consider - points density. If you can vow a squad as the most expensive thing you can find that they can plausibly represent (saaaay... veteran tacticals and not just regular tacticals even if they are never going to be played that way) then do so. If you have to choose between a rhino to paint or a predator, choose the predator. Get the most bang for your buck, pledge-wise.

Good advice. I've managed to bang out 4,000ish points of Guard in about 30 days before (I am very proud of pulling that off), but I'll be sure to gauge my motivation before I decide whether or not to jump in. I think, though, that there'll be some Grave Wardens involved, at the very least. Hopefully Breachers, too!

but I'll be sure to gauge my motivation before I decide whether or not to jump in.

Just so you know brother - after month number one, the gates close to any new Fraters wishing to pledge. Those that have already pledged can continue to repledge (up to five in total including your original vow) but the gates, in effect, well and truly close. So, if you are going to do it, get in while the gates are open. But not until May.

And don't be too cheesy be smart, chaos know how to unite with these events, we however always drift apart towards the end.

Motivate your mates and fraters Give good feedback and always improve your skills.

And don't forget to equip those hunter killer missiles whenever possible.

Gove your guys an extra cc weapon and model it accordingly don't be too Points greedy as its against the spirit of etl

Good golly karuma... I thought there was a Komodo hiding behind the boxes for a second and then I realized it was ALL RESINCRAK!!!

Here's my humble offering (I am new owner and the previous owner had the joy of building and priming her and I will abstain until the ETL begins)

Is there a no DIY rule to prevent beer can warlords?

*Puts duct tape, beer cans, and bedazzler kit away...*

Has anyone ever done Edward Fortyhands? (It's a frat thing :P)

Technically I'd qualify myself as an Imperator Titan with two colt 45 malt liquor cannons duck taped to my hands....

Umm how many points is that?

Depends how empty those drinks are :)

I have a bunch of Raven Guard and a Knight waiting for the etl this year, as well as a Warp Cult I am starting to build. Will stick to the same plan I did last year and split it into 5 vows, just in case motivation slows down or something comes up!

Yeah, but if you've got a choice between the ten guy that score fifty points or the ten that score 200 and you're not fussed what one you do, the choice is clear.

It's why I always advise against Chaos cultists. Way too much effort for the points in the context of the ETL.

Doesn't stop people doing them mind.

Dragonlover

At least he'll have the miniatures finished. Thought that was the point of ETL to motivate people in finishing their projects or try something new. Not how many points they can score.

Pretty sure the point of the ETL is to knock chaos down a peg.
