AL B@C Terminators and Primus Medicae

I'm thinking about making Steloc Aethon into a Primus Medicae in Cataphractii armour, by adding a few bits and bobs to the chain fist to make it look like a narthecium. He is going with the B@C terminators (2 CF, power dagger, plasma blaster 3 PF) to give them a bit more survivability.

Since I don't want to invest even more points into the unit, the primus medicae gets a power weapon. Would you say an axe is better because almost everyone has to strike at I1 (Sgt. could use the power dagger at I4), or would you prefer a power sword/maul to have a few more attacks at I4?

It's hard to argue with fist + dagger for AL characters.  For 10 points more than an axe you get S8 without losing the extra attack, causing instant death to most enemy characters, and you have an at initiative backup weapon.  I like chainfists on Medicae because they basically already have one modelled.

If you absolutely must save those 10 points, at least Medicae have pistols for the extra attack.  Any other terminator character should be compelled by law to upgrade to a specialist weapon with a dagger.

If you can, give the Terminators Volkite chargers and make them Larnean terminators!

My idea is to magnetize the guns and take the Lerneans when I have the points.

But other than that give the Primus a fist and dagger. May as well let him double out some enemies and get an extra attack in the deal.

I want to use the Steloc Aethon (Praetor from B@C) model. Replacing the combi melta with a power fist seems much more difficult than replacing it with a combi-bolter. The power weapon is planned to go on his hip

I gave mine the BaC chaplain crozius as a counts as Thunderhammer and turned the chainfist into a narthecium. I know TH aren't really worth the extra points but they look cool and concussive sometimes comes into play against automata or Primarchs.
